Here's a question, triggered by an e-mail I just got about my website ( http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com ). A little bit of hate mail (which means that at least one person is reading the site). He closes with this section.

John Kerry the last candidate for president offered by the party of treason, has only the commission of treason as a verifiable achievement in his life and lets not forget his claim of committing war crimes and that is the best the party of wimps and cowards could offer? Yes it is and that is why we need treason trials and some gallows time for the party of treason, atheism and sodomy.

Very hateful stuff in my opinion. And it has my dander up - about to send it to my conservative friends and talk about how hungry Conservatives are to put their political enemies to death. I would say, accurately, that I can't think of many liberals who talk this way - but then thought I had seen talk of the Bush Gang being tried for treason here.

I thought about doing this as one of my patented polls (polls not actually patetened), but then thought I would prefer the discussion. Do we want to see our political enemies on the gallows? I would argue no (I wouldn't mind seeing an impeachment however), but mine might not be the majority opinion.
