a thing of the past.....

It seems that even the Repubs are getting in the Halloween
Spirit this year. They've certainly done everything they
could to provide DUers with a plethora of seasonal-caption
photo opportunities.

Now, any good horror show needs to start with something
very ordinary and peaceful. What could be more ordinary
than a nice postcard from a tiny, rural bed-n-breakfast?
And what could be more peaceful than a nice photo of a boy and his mom?

And of course, the rules of "horror" require a bit of
comic relief at the start. And we have been truly BLESSED
this year, with the never-ending comic stylings of a true
GENIUS in the field:

Now, we all know that TV and Hollywood are almost as bereft
of ideas as the Repub Party these days, and just seem to keep
remaking the same things over and over.

So it should come as no surprise to find the Repubs doing the same.

'DemItAllAnyway' caught Rummy in the act of plagiarizing
the last film he saw with his original eyes:



And George, having trouble memorizing simple sentences,
prefers to simply scare the tiny children. Very original...NOT.

It seems appropriate that a DUer named 'Julius Civitatus'
should be the one to raise an "age-old" question like this:



Now, of course, the 'rules of HORROR' require that an ENDING
be truly HORRIBLE.
Worse than merely "bad".
The stuff of NIGHTMARES.
The type of mind-twisting, soul-searing image that, once SEEN,
can never be "UN"-seen again.

Well, now that that's all behind us, and the thread is safely
over, DUer 'NanceGreggs' has a very seasonal
Public Service Announcement which also serves to remind us that
sometimes truly HORRIBLE things come in small packages.

Packages as small as, say, a talking "Doctor Laura" doll.
