Tue Jul 15th 2008, 11:46 PM less than 5 months: Israel carries out an air-strike on Iran's nuclear facilities (after receiving "credible intelligence" from "reliable sources"1)
+1 day: Iran retaliates with a full scale missile attack on Israel and US bases in Iraq and surrounding territories +2 day: The United States carries out full scale bombing on Iran (timescale irrelevant): agents provocateur carry out a propaganda campaign decrying the attacks as Israel/AIPAC/Jews2 carrying out "another" war of aggression. (This is already occurring) +1 month: conflict escalates as treaties are called in. The US, Israel and most of NATO vs. Russia, China, Iran and Venezuela. conflict eventually consumes most of the world. +1+ years: with superior numbers and stronger economies on their side, the Central Powers defeat the Allies (US e.g.); Israel ceases to exist. (Pogroms openly carried out against surviving Jews in former Israel) (simultaneous): as the war goes against the US, the "talking points" will change to indicate that it is the fault of Jewish "traitors" who have "stabbed the US in the back". 5+ years post conflict: The United States, at the close of WWIII, will have been forced to sign a very unfair and economically crippling peace treaty. In all likelihood, one of the diplomats involved will be Jewish. (simultaneous): The antisemitic talking points will increase. It will become openly acceptable to harass Jews and their businesses. 6+ years: Pogroms begin to be carried out in all nations in the defeated Allies of WWIII. 1: This information will come from either CIA assets or Iranian agents. Israel will carry out the attack at the insistence of the US, who will have "helpfully" provided the intel that Iran is about to nuke Israel. The reasons are simple; the US wants to attack Iran, but needs an excuse. And a fall-guy. Iranian agents would also be willing to do this for the sake of finally having their excuse to Israel. 2: The talking point will change from place to place and from year to year. At fist it will be contained to AIPAC or Israel, but as the war goes against the US, it will just become all Jews, as it is usually intended currently in most "anti-AIPAC" talking points. Fri Nov 24th 2006, 12:23 AM Before election season actually starts, I have a question for you...
What if the Democrats ran Joe Lieberman for President and Al Gore ran on the Green Ticket or Independent. What would you do? I ask because I was recently flamed for saying that blind devotion to a party (any party) is bad, so I imagine I will be flamed for this as well, however, the question remains. With as much hatred as I have heard spewed for Joe and as much love as there is for Al, what would you do in the above situation? Mon Nov 20th 2006, 08:24 PM The other night I bought a "new" (new to me anyway
) copy of 1984. My previous copy was left in Florida with all my other books. It's a 31st printing, from 1964. This particular copy of the book is older than I am. The story it contains is older still. Yet, the tale of 1984 itself is truer now than ever before, even in 1984. I had read 1984 several dozen times, but I think only once after 9/11. Returning to it now, almost 6 years later with a different field of perspective in this "post 9/11" world, it haunts me now more than ever. The thing, it seems to me, is that we as Americans have constructed our own version of 1984. Instead of Big Brother or BB we have The President or POTUS. Instead of The Party/INGSOC we have Republican/Right or Democrat/Left. Instead of Telescreens we have Cable Television and Sweeps Week. We voluntarily give up our rights without even thinking about it. We are our own Thought Police. Every decision in our society has become compartmentalized and at the same time conflated with every other issue until everything is politicized and polarized. We always DoubleThink. We never DoubleThink. Yet as much as there is The Party, there is no party. We are all proles voluntarily, submissively. We believe in the illusionary world we have constructed for ourselves. We have the illusion of Democracy, the illusion of Freedom. We attack other countries to spread our brand of Freedom and Democracy, yet we ourselves are neither free, nor do we live in a Democracy. Instead of the Socialist fascism that Orwell showed us, we chose to have Capitalist fascism. We are all Proles. We cannot escape from our prisons, for our prisons are our lives. We hope for things to get better, some of us may even write a stirring essay or article. Perhaps a television spot or radio spot. We will fight the good fight, smugly satisfied that we have done the right thing. All too likely though, that stirring article, essay, column, radio or tv spot will either be ignored by the audience that needs to hear it, or it will partisan and base all of its importance on the need to get the Red Party out of Power so that the Blue Party can be in Power, or that the Red Party is the enemy and that the Blue Party is your friend. Or any number of other variations. We have always been at War with Eurasia. It gets a little fuzzier every year doesn't it? When the War started it, who started it, how far back it really goes, which conspiracy ties into what, who really attacked who. It just goes on and on. Most of us now are sure when the War started. When did the Civil War end? Why did it end? Was there ever really a Civil War? As everything becomes digital more and more, day by day, we invite the existence of the Ministry of Truth a little more, day by day. Today you search and find out that the Civil War ended April 9th 1865. Tomorrow though... perhaps new evidence suggests that it ended in 1864. Maybe instead it ended in 1862, not long after the crushing defeat of the Confederate Army in the Battle of Bull Run. The problem with our eternal war of course is that opposition to the Government is terrorism and terror is the enemy. Most of you here, Proles that you are, see the Democrats as your shining Blue champions who will make everything good and wonderful again. You know for certain that they will fix all that the evil Red Republicans have wrought. I myself get swept up in the moment frequently. I think to myself how great it will be to finally be free again. Then I remember sometimes, that we have never been free. We have always lived in these gilded cages. Every year the bars get prettier and more bejeweled, but they get smaller with each passing year. We have forgotten that we have wings and that we are meant to fly. We should be soaring free, but we are all trapped here, together, in a cage we built ourselves to keep us safe and happy. I can say all these things because there is no vast conspiracy. No evil overlords. We built this thing ourselves. I can say these things because most who read it will ignore it. It will either be considered to be a left-wing rant and ignored by right wingers, or it will be seen as a right-wing rant and ignored by left-wingers. I am sure plenty will read this, agree with it and then go back to the important things in their lives, you know a new TV, paying your bills, going to work, watching the big game, checking your lottery tickets. I can say all these things because I know they are futile and irrelevant. Thanks to the perfected art of DoubleThink everyone knows that we are free and that we are prisoners. We want peace and are always at War. We do not torture and we torture. I can say all these things just to prove that I can say them, to prove to myself that I do not fear the constructions of our minds. Twenty - five years and my life is still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope For a destination And I realized quickly when I knew I should That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man For whatever that means And so I cry sometimes When I'm lying in bed Just to get it all out What's in my head And I am feeling a little peculiar And so I wake in the morning And I step outside And I take a deep breath and I get real high And I scream at the top of my lungs What's going on? And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what's going on? Ooh, ooh ooh And I try, oh my god do I try I try all the time, in this institution And I pray, oh my god do I pray I pray every single day For a revolution And so I cry sometimes When I'm lying in bed Just to get it all out What's in my head And I am feeling a little peculiar And so I wake in the morning And I step outside And I take a deep breath and I get real high And I scream at the top of my lungs What's going on? You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero. In the world I see - you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway. Thu Jul 13th 2006, 09:22 PM Yes, this is actually happening.
Syria and Iran will become "involved" in the conflict. The US will also become "involved". (though I suspect our involvement will be in keeping Iranian troops from reaching Syria by fighting in the blood soaked sands of Iraq) Russia and China are going to sit this out. They will continue to support Iran passively by selling them weaponry and buying their oil/natural gas. Europe will also sit this out. Pakistan is going to stay out as well. They are a Muslim nation yes, however they have their own problems and have no way of supporting the conflict. Also they are a military dictatorship first and foremost; Muscharef(sp?) doesn't have a death-wish, he is going to want to remain in power as best he can and I assume he knows that is by staying out of this one. Britain may aid the US, after all they have no choice. Plus this is all their fault to begin with so they damn well better be involved. (I blame them for the map re-drawings of the mideast as well as the way the entire Israel solution was handled) Australia may also assist the US. Same for Canada. The UN is going to pass around a lot of resolutions and the US will veto most of them. Egypt will do nothing for the same reasons I outlined for Pakistan. They have little to gain by entering the conflict. There will be no doubt a lot of "terrorists" and "foreign fighters" pouring out of North Africa though who will be unconnected to any Government (officially). Saudi Arabia will publicly call for peace and calm, but privately will be sending "terrorists" and "foreign fighters" and most important bankrolling. Same for the UAE and other small Islamic states. This is going to happen, because it pretty much has to. The fanatics will see this as the best chance they will ever have and they are right. The US is too bogged down to really help Israel and Israel is under a tremendous amount of pressure. Obviously there are a lot of wild-card nations as well as various entangling alliances that could alter who the players of this game are. Nukes are definitely on the table, though I suspect it will not be a worldwide full-scale nuclear war. It will be limited to essentially tactical nukes; I believe a lot of chemical weapons will be used though.

I have a grim fascination with war? War in general, the specific, the past, the current, the future, and the abstract. In many ways I have a "love" of war. Obviously I feel horrible for the people who have to die and suffer; no one really deserves to die, at least over stupid things that wars are typically fought for. But still it remains, this love I have of war. Like watching fire.. I cannot take my eyes off it. I appreciate all it's nuances, from the strategic to the tactical. One part of me says that I am a sick and fucked up person to sit and read or watch with such awe and wonder, another part cries out that innocent people are dying and suffering, another part still says that I am simply being a human descended of warrior stock and that war is in our blood, and the last part simply says.. just watch.. consider the next move... see the tactics... see the plan... watch the war-machines as the grind across they landscape.

Fri Jun 30th 2006, 03:18 PM I do my best to not smoke around non-smokers. Their self-righteous bullshit annoys me to no end.
I did in fact quit, for almost a year. Then I had a nervous breakdown from stress and while I was in the hospital, people hooked me up with cigarettes and I was able to deal with everything again. For many years now, I have often desired to quit. And to convince every other smoker here in the US to quit as well. I would love to watch our economy collapse. Bullshit you say? US population: 295,734,134. Percentage of smokers: (roughly) 25% (some sites listed 30, some listed 20, so I used an average. Based on people I see all around me, every day though, I would put the odds at 50%). Ok, so lets look at our numbers. 25% of 295,734,134 is 73,933,533.5 smokers. Averages look like most people are pack and a half a day smokers, so thats 110,900,300.25 packs of cigarettes per day or 40,478,609,591.25 packs per year. The average tax on a pack of cigarettes is 91.7 cents per pack, which should be....$37,118,884,995.17625. Note that is only the taxes collected on the cigs themselves, not the lost sales tax on them or the taxes that the tobacco company has to pay. Ah but, you say, how is a few billion in lost revenues going to collapse the economy? Well lets see, if we all quit, the anti-smoking industry is out of work, and with as much energy I see exerted on anti-smoking ads and stop smoking products and what not, I have to assume a lot of people will be out of work. Not to mention all the tobacco companies, farmers, etc. We are well into the trillions at this point I am sure, but why stop there? That reminds me... the first year well quit, if we all use patches/gum/etc. there will be a little gain, however there is no extra tax on these products and they would only be used for a few months. So there you go, many hundreds of billions, if not trillions, lost in tax revenues. Several hundred thousand people unemployed. I won't even go into the social ramifications of having a quarter of the population all going cold turkey as far incidents of violence go. Ah, but now we can all breath that nice fresh air... *cough* *cough* Say, that's a nice car you have *cough*, and I see your home is getting its power from that coal plant *cough*. Me I live down the road from a trash disposal facility *cough*. I sure am glad we bankrupted the nation to breath free! *cough* Good thing you are there to protect me from myself. I should never be allowed to decide for myself if I want to smoke. Let's ban alcohol next. And fried food. And salt. MSG? Hamburger - that stuff has mad cow y'know! Chicken? thats got bird flu! We will save everyone from themselves yes? Soda, thats right out! Oh yeah, what about all you extreme sports types? I wonder how much lost productivity and insurance you people eat up every year after you break limbs and are out for a month. And on and on and on..... As far as secondhand smokes eeeeeevil deadliness, why don't we load it up in bombs and drop it on people? Oh that's right... because it won't kill you. http://www.webmd.com/content/article/64/72... I would like to point out that every study which has concluded that smoking and second-hand smoke *WILL* cause cancer, guaranteed factually, is not lying, however the way that conclusion is reached is by putting a rat inside a small tank into which nothing but smoke from a whole pack of cigarettes is pumped. Amazingly the rats get cancer. Of course rats get cancer at the drop a hat, which I guess doesn't cont to the pseudo-scientists who conduct these studies. Furthermore, I have never seen an actual empirical study done in which the (human) subjects were kept in a clean environment that had no toxic air seeping in from outside, no radon from the ground, no god-knows-what in the water, no high voltage lines overhead or any of the other hundreds of thousands of products we are exposed to everyday that are also known to cause cancer. What about that study a few months back that concluded that women who shave their underarms and use deodorant are going to get breast cancer? http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factshe... (on reading that link, its actually older than a few months, but I only heard about it a few months ago) I don't see any boycotts of deodorant for women. I don't see any threads entitled "Are women stupid for using deodorant?" That's most of what I have to say. Flame away oh righteous anti-smokers. In the end, it will come back to "You're dumb for smoking!!!!1"; it's as convincing an argument as "Gay people shouldn't get married because it's bad for society" or "Sex outside of marriage is immoral. Ban condoms! Abstinence only!"

Sun Jun 18th 2006, 04:00 AM This is a good solid plan. People will do it. Less than a third of the people support this war and *. I personally have not met a person in at least six months who didn't think * should be impeached and we should leave Iraq. And thats even hard core republicans.
As I said July 4th is a holiday, so more people will be willing to participate that first day, but it is also a Tuesday, which means a lot of people would have to work anyway. Most important of all though it is Independance Day. And if all take to the streets on July 4th, marching with banners reading: ![]() And LIBERTY OR DEATH And The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. (More Jefferson quotes here http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/t... ) A word on Thomas Jefferson. One of our most important Founding Fathers (I think), he had a good deal to say on corporations owning our country and Presidents who steal too much power. You would do well to read his life and works. One more thing, this year is the 180th Anniversary of Jefferson's death. This would be like holding a wake in his honor. Please my brothers and sisters, if we all work together, we can restore America. And to paraphrase Ben Franklin 'We must all hang together, folks...else, we shall most assuredly hang separately.'

Sat Jun 17th 2006, 06:49 AM We need to organize a nation-wide general strike. The various protests and stuff are fine, we can do that while striking. If we stop buying stuff and don't go to work and everyone who thinks Bush should be impeached and we should leave Iraq now, did that, it would stop all work in the country. If we add in common cause with illegal immigrants and throw in citizenship for all illegals in the country now, this country would be totally shut down. Yes July 4th is a holiday, so no one will notice, but its an important symbolic holiday, plus when no-one goes back to work on the 6th or 7th or... etc. It would take little time for the corporations to notice and would tell the people they are bribing in Congress to carry out impeachment, withdrawal and legalization of immigrants. This seems to work effectively in other democracies, so why not ours? I have no idea who to contact and how to get this going, but that's why I am posting it here. It needs no real organization anyway, everyone just do it. Stock up on supplies for at least a month and save some extra in case other strikers need some food. If we all work together we can change this country. The right is loud and claim that everyone supports Bush, but less than a third do support him and this cursed war.
Begin ![]() Once it's over, we repeal the Patriot Act and end the War on Terror; I think we should end the War on Drugs too. We have a lot of debt to repay and one good way to do that is to legalize and tax drugs. Then we pardon everyone in jail who is in only for drugs only (no firearms and/or other charges). The we start fixing the country; we need to rebuild our infrastructure and rein in corrupt corporations. We also need to rebuild our standing in the world and return to a more altruistic foreign policy and try to normalize relations with as many nations as possible. End ![]() well I was at work tonight and bam... God rolls a 17 on the random encounter table.. so lets see... 15 burglar, 16 giant walking tomato, 18 pterodactyl.. wait 17 POOP.
Yes, poop. Feces. Excrement. Shit if you prefer. I had patrolled that area not a half hour before and no poo... but on my return.... POO! Yes someone had taken of their tighty whiteys (though not so white anymore..) and apparently bent over and let fly with their diarrhea cannon. The stench, which was unbearable, was wafting up from the bottom of the stairwell that this happened. The sun was baking down nicely and the air was oh so flavorful with a nice mix of human waste and curry. I can only assume the curry led to the impromptu scat-fest I found. So, anyone else have to dodge a nice sized pool of liquid crap to get back to their office? 3:30am PST. Pacific Northwest. Seattle.
I just saw a pterodactyl; yes I am serious. No I am not high or drunk. It was flying North at a pretty good speed. I thought it was a very large eagle or bat or something. Until I realized how high in the air it was as it disappeared into the clouds. Just wanted to share that story. That is seriously weird. I doubt anyone on Earth would believe me, but still. It's what I saw. I am pretty sure it was a dactyl because of the head shape and legs and wing shape. Welcome to part 1 of an infinite series of amazing nuggets of wisdom that come from my warped mind.
"Humans. You can't live with them, you can't exterminate them all. At best you will get a war-crimes tribunal." and "Anyone who refers to staying in Iraq and sacrificing more troops by saying 'In for a penny, in for a pound' or 'In for a dime, in for a dollar' has obviously never heard of throwing good money after bad." |
