Remember, the greatest conspiracy is that there is no conspiracy. It is always about money. And a quick gestalt view of the scandal will make it easier to see. So let's follow a couple money trails, and why Carole Lam would have been fired: Trail 1 Defense Funds -> Rep. Duke Cunningham -> Brent Wilkes -> Wilkes Corporation -> Perfect Wave Technologies -> Texans for a Republican Majority -> Tom DeLay -> Republican National Committee -> Abramoff's 60 (including Texas candidates, this trail was exposed because they stupidly sent the check for the same exact amount back and forth. Nice.) Trail 2 (loopy style!) Defense Funds -> Rep. Duke Cunningham -> Brent Wilkes -> Wilkes Corporation -> Perfect Wave Technologies -> Alexander Strategy Group -> Christine DeLay -> Rep. Duke Cunningham -> Navy Contract (Defense Funds -> Rep. Duke Cunningham -> Brent Wilkes -> Wilkes Corporation -> Perfect Wave Technologies -> Alexander Strategy Group -> Christine DeLay -> Rep. Duke Cunningham -> Navy Contract (Defense Funds) -> (repeat force feedback loop till exposed, side feed over flow to RNC) (This trail was exposed because of antics in Trail 1) A trail less traveled will also include MZM Inc. At the end of the day, bad. But while we go after Fredo, the fact that defense funds in a time of war were cleverly laundered into the campaign coffers of Republican candidates is the true story. So as long Alberto maintains himself as the center of the controversy, I am with President Bush, he is doing his job. Because can you imagine the wrath of the American people if they found out we are short on money for the war because the Republicans have been filtering said defense funds to get themselves re-elected to, well, filter yet more defense funds? That is why Carol Lam was fired, with the others to add cover, because this is one the worst scandals in American political history, double whammyed by the fact it was done in the time of war. Google the above for your references, it is all out there, plain as day, but we couldn't see the forest because of the trees. <snip> IN PLAIN SIGHT! Edit to add: BTW- Cunningham was SUDDENLY transferred to another jail last week. Let's not forget that creepy, wierd court situation in California a few days ago re: Wilkes, Foggo... Here's another great link for reference: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discu...

You HAVE NOT been unsuccessful!!! Do you realize how many people you have educated by your relentless pursuit of the truth?
You inspire me. Your unwavering determination to get the truth out and your commitment to truth and justice is behavior befitting a true patriot. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for that. You never give up. WE won't give up, either. It is OUR responsibility, as citizens of this country, to continue shining a bright light on these criminals until they are exposed as the treasonous traitors that they are. It's not just YOUR responsibility, my friend. It's up to all of us. Thank you for your strength, determination and leadership!

Censured general evades subpoena to appear before Tillman hearing Michael Roston Published: Wednesday August 1, 2007 Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) revealed in a Wednesday hearing that Lieutenant General Philip Kensinger, who was censured Tuesday by the Army for deceiving investigators regarding the announcement of the death of Army Specialist Pat Tillman, has evaded a subpoena issued by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. "General Kensinger refused to appear today," Chairman Waxman said in his opening statement. "His attorney informed the committee that General Kensinger would not testify voluntarily, and if issued a subpoena would seek to evade service. The committee did issue a subpoena to General Kensinger earlier this week, but US Marshals have been unable to locate or serve him." <snip> Where the hell IS THIS COWARD? I want him found. I'm going to post a thread about this until I hear that the SOB has been arrested for contempt. This is unacceptable. Hell, it's unbelievable. This is a Lt. General of the U.S. military, dammit! Who the hell KILLED Tillman? Why didn't they ask that basic question during the hearing? Geesh. We don't even know who pulled the trigger. I thought Waxman had this handled. Does anyone know if our U.S. Marshals are out looking for this piece of shit?

And now we know his "against Iraq" speech in 2002 was politically motivated, Obama is just Hillary with a penis and a tan.
So, what does this say about Hillary? Politically motivated, indeed.

I'm certain he has PLENTY to say about it. All of Bev's accusations, that is.
What don't YOU understand about Bev's lack of CREDIBILITY? You can scream from the rooftops that Bev is the grooviest chick around. Guess what? That doesn't make it so. All of this "projecting" and "victimization" is tiresome. Perpetual chaos. Disruption. Is that all you people are good for? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6533008 / <snip> One final note here. I should clarify what I wrote in this space last night about Countdown’s interaction with Bev Harris of Black Box Voting. My staff is not certain that any of our messages to Ms. Harris inviting her on the show since the week of November 15 have specifically asked her for permission to play the videotapes of her work trying to audit the Florida vote. We think so, but I’ve got only three people booking all the guests on this program, and they each probably make about 100 calls a day. Complicating our effort is the fact that even as we hoped to provide a platform to publicize and illuminate her efforts, Ms. Harris had returned none of the messages left on her own voicemail by Countdown staffers since she spoke to our staffers briefly, twice, during the week of November 8. Only today did she even get back in touch with us, and was so belligerent, threatening, and demanding, that we have chosen to withdraw our invitation to her to appear, or to have videotape of her efforts played, on Countdown. Threats against myself or my staff will not be tolerated. We are not only busting our humps on the voting irregularities beat, but we remain the only mainstream news organization to continue to cover this vital story. These are my people — they are running professional risks I can’t begin to describe — and I will stand up for them, first, last, and always. <snip> Feel free to read it in its entirety. Another "injustice"? I think not. I'll take KO at his word. He has EARNED our trust. As tough as this may be for some to believe...there are many QUALIFIED people involved with election reform. Insinuating that the movement NEEDS Bev Harris in order to survive is ludicrous. It's all about credibility, Kster. My father once told me that a person's reputation was like virginity. Once it is lost you can never get it back. Too much has happened that cannot be explained. All of the name-calling and "projecting" doesn't change Bev's history. Her behavior and actions are not ours to own. She OWNS them. Perpetual drama. Perpetual victim. How many bridges has she burned? How many opportunities missed? Yes. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. I don't expect perfection...just truth, honor and integrity. Our democracy deserves no less.

The shit is seeping out from every angle, isn't it?
At this point, we know FACTUALLY that these rat bastards have imbedded themselves throughout every part of our government. To believe that they haven't done the same re: Election Reform is foolish, imo. Democrats want to stuff the ballot box which involves less emphasis on voter authentication, and rig the machines. ~Bev Harris 5/9/07 Note that the Democratic Party urgently needs to control and steer election reform issues, both for fund-raising reasons (can't muddy the message, need to make it us against the bad Republicans) and because they don't want the attention to shift to their embarrassing role in crafting and pushing HAVA through. Added to that, they want to make sure that any reforms made are things that will benefit the Democrats but not the Republicans. ~Bev Harris 5/9/07 Where have we heard "can't muddy the message" recently. Google is your friend. Think about it. Who the f*ck is "they"??? Nevermind. We know the answer to that question, don't we? I see all of the "cheerleaders" are hiding out today. It's amazing what a little spoon of truth will do!!!

![]() http://www.firedoglake.com / <snip> What are we to do as the Wurlitzer cranks up its sad song of poor, suffering Scooter? Well, here’s a few talking points (hopefully concise enough for use with friends and family) that may be helpful in responding to the most common canards of the wingnut chorus, either direct or as laundered through concerned wankers centrists like David Broder: Bogus Spin #1: Special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald went after Libby even after learning that Richard Armitage had been Bob Novak’s “primary source” for his column outing Valerie Plame Wilson as a CIA employee. Wrong. Armitage made his admission in early October 2003, nearly three months before Fitzgerald was appointed. So it should be clear that Fitzgerald wasn’t appointed just to find out who leaked to Novak. In fact, this means that — even with Armitage’s confession in hand — there was so much evidence of wrongdoing that a longtime GOP loyalist like John Ashcroft felt he had no choice but to recuse himself and allow the appointment of a special counsel. Bogus Spin #2: Even so, Libby wasn’t the only one who leaked about Plame. Maybe not, but it turns out that every other Bush administration who leaked did so as a result of information they got as a result of Libby’s actions. Ari Fleischer testified during Scooter’s trial that Libby told him over lunch about Plame working for the CIA, and Karl Rove reportedly told a similar story to the grand jury that indicted Libby. Meanwhile, Armitage and Bushite press flack Dan Bartlett both found out through a State Department memo that was produced in response to questions that Libby had asked a top department official about Wilson’s trip to Niger. If Libby (and his boss, Dick Cheney) had been content to reply to Wilson’s criticisms on their merits rather than by rattling cages in search of fodder for personal attacks, none of the other officials would ever have been able to leak about Plame. Bogus Spin #3: The trial was just Libby’s word against that of a bunch of reporters. Although three reporters did testify, they were preceded on the stand by six different government officials who each testified to having conversations with Libby about Joe Wilson’s wife before the date when Libby first claimed to have heard it from a reporter. It was these officials’ testimony, more than that of the reporters, that convicted Libby. Bogus Spin #4: Libby was convicted for having a faulty memory. It’s never mentioned in the mainstream media, but Scooter didn’t just “forget” telling reporters about Joe Wilson’s wife working for the CIA, and deny it when he really had told them. No, Libby’s “faulty memory” caused him not only to deny where he had learned about Plame — a note produced in the trial showed Vice President Cheney had told him she worked in the Counterproliferation Department of the CIA (where the majority of employees are covert) — but to invent stories saying he HAD leaked to reporters when he hadn’t. He claimed to have been the first to tell Matt Cooper about Wilson’s wife, thereby covering up the fact that Karl Rove had done so. And he shielded Fleischer by falsely claiming to have told the Post’s Glenn Kessler as well, apparently trying to cover for the Post’s October 12, 2003 report that a journalist for the Post (who turned out to be Walter Pincus) had been leaked to — a news story that was found, with key passages underlined, in Libby’s files. Thus Libby was convicted not just of perjury but of intentionally lying in order to obstruct the investigation, and rightly so. <snip> Pathetic little crybabies! Waaaaaaaaaahhhh!!! Use these TRUTHS to DEBUNK the bullshit. Enjoy!!! http://www.boomantribune.com /
<snip> There's no evidence that the public is more displeased with the Democrats than the Republicans, so this poll just reflects a general 'pox on both your houses' attitude. Now, political consultants will explain that this public attitude is explained by Congress's inability to do anything, to work across party lines and solve the big problems...I don't think so. I attribute it to three things. First, Iraq. The public wants some light at the end of the tunnel on Iraq. Congress has given them no light. None. This is the single biggest failure of Congress so far. If the public were interested in bipartisanship then they would be disproportionately blaming the Republicans for the lack of illumination. The public doesn't pay close enough attention to get bogged down on which party is more to blame. They just know that Congress (both parties) gave Bush more money to fight the war with no strings attached and no hope for the future. That drives their disapproval. If the Dems had been seen kicking and screaming and insisting on light at the end of the tunnel, then the public would have seen the problem as one of Congress vs. the President, and they would have seen Congress as the hero and the President as the villain. Second, the immigration bill. No one liked it. Maybe that is the nature of tackling such a controversial issue. The only available compromises are unacceptable to everyone that actually cares about the issue. But, regardless, the public hated the bill and wanted to strangle anyone that supported it. For the very few people that actually liked the bill...well...it didn't pass...so...what's to like? Third, George W. Bush is still our President. Believe it or not, the public realizes that the biggest of the big problems that our nation faces is a matter of leadership. Our leader is an incompetent, lying, crook. It would be extremely non-bipartisan to actuallly do anything about Bush being a lying, incompetent, crook, but the public would appreciate the effort, nonetheless. In summation, the public is not mad that Congress isn't tackling our big problems by working together and passing bills. They're mad that Congress worked together to pass a stringless war appropriation, that Congress tried to work together to pass a crappy immigration bill, and that the Democrats haven't stood up to the President and forced more of a showdown on a wide front of issues...including removing him from office. <snip> Excellent read. I think Booman hits the nail on the head with this one! And they think they're so clever...
