Gods, any of them, that are apart of the Patriarchy.

This includes the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim God.

I am a pagan. By definition that means that I am not Jewish, Christian, or Muslim.

I do not understand why any Woman would support, with her time, talent, or money an organization that has done more to harm the Female half of the Human Race that the Patriarchal Religion.

I know that it is only when Women take the time to educate themselves that they even begin to learn about their own history and their contributions to civilization.

what glory was in an omnipotent being torturing forever a puny little creature who could in no way defend himself? Would it be to the glory of a man to fry ants?

The Xian Fundie RW Universe......He has never served this country in the military....He is to quote an article I found....

"The only surprise in mega-Christian Bryan Fischer's latest screech is that he didn't say "Obama's Medal of Honor winners are 'pussies.'" This woman-hating, gay-hating, Muslim-hating, environment-hating, birth control-hating, democracy-hating, Obama-hating know-nothing, whose most cretinous previous comment was that married couples should be mandated to have at least three children, has complained on his blog that President Obama "feminized" the Medal of Honor by awarding it to Army Sgt. Salvatore Giunta. Under heavy fire, Giunta rescued two fellow soldiers. Omigod. Merely rescued? Says Fischer."

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/11/17/9...

I can only think how like the Taliban this cretin appears to be....Sarah Palin must be his biggest fan.

"So the question is this: when are we going to start awarding the Medal of Honor once again for soldiers who kill people and break things so our families can sleep safely at night?

I would suggest our culture has become so feminized that we have become squeamish at the thought of the valor that is expressed in killing enemy soldiers through acts of bravery. We know instinctively that we should honor courage, but shy away from honoring courage if it results in the taking of life rather than in just the saving of life. So we find it safe to honor those who throw themselves on a grenade to save their buddies."

This hateful, person's speech is protected under the First Amendment. He has the right to spew his hate filled message...however we have the right also to call him on his anti-everything American speech. I hope that those who hold a different view of Christian values....see his wacko for what he is and what he proclaims and calls him on his BS and then withdraw their support of him and his ilk.

learn any either. So females in the presence of these men are in danger if not properly veiled because these men are not able to control their desires and expect instant gratification of their sexual urges. Also it smacks of women not knowing their proper place in society as inferiors and not being submissive enough to the males.

Kinda like the Southern Baptists claiming that women who are abused by their husbands are at fault because they are not submissive enough to their husbands.

Bad marriage 'not an excuse for sin,' speaker tells seminary women
By Bob Allen
Tuesday, November 03, 2009
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABP) -- A Boyce College instructor told women at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary that a bad marriage is "not an excuse for sin," and in a worst-case scenario a submissive wife might be forced to "suffer wrong."

Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782

But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782

Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because if there be one he must approve of the homage of reason more than that of blindfolded fear.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Peter Carr, August 10, 1787

I concur with you strictly in your opinion of the comparative merits of atheism and demonism, and really see nothing but the latter in the being worshipped by many who think themselves Christians.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Richard Price, Jan. 8, 1789 (Richard Price had written to TJ on Oct. 26. about the harm done by religion and wrote "Would not Society be better without Such religions? Is Atheism less pernicious than Demonism?")

would Christianity have to sell? What reason would it have to exist? How could it attract believers if not for the threat of eternal damnation and burning is the Christian Hell? What would be their product to sell to the people of the world?

What would they use to control humanity if not for their salvation? Even if that salvation is forced upon a population at the point of a sword, gun or threat of being burned at a stake, or other such wonderful invention of the "Church" to force their control on people who did not want or seek their brand of Faith and Salvation?

You are trying to apply logic to something that defies logic or critical thought or reason.

The following was a personal epiphany that I had about 18 months ago. I am sharing it here and I hope that any woman that is contemplating getting married or knows a woman that is contemplating marriage should consider about the marriage ceremony.

My point of view is shaded from the view point of the Church which I was active in up until 1999.

I was laying in ICU following a stroke and not being able to do much except think, I was contemplating the upcoming nuptials of my daughter. I was mentally going through the marriage service when all of my mental red flags and alarms went off and it was all I could do not to scream NO out loud. Mindful that I was laying in an ICU unit and it was the middle of the night I somehow did not think that it was a good idea. I had gotten to the point in the service where the minister asks who gives this woman to be married to this man?

Wrong!!!!!!!

I was not going to give my daughter away. She is NOT a possession and NO ONE holds a title to her.

Her choice I would welcome into our family as I hoped that his family would welcome her into theirs. This was not going to be a change of ownership of her. She is a fully Adult member of the human race and is not a possession to be sold, traded or given away. That hark-ens back to a period when women were possessions, chattel, and the marriage ceremony was a transfer of control of the Woman from her father, uncle, brother or whichever male had control of her to her husband. To a time when women could not own property, if they could find a job could not even receive their own pay, for it was given to her husband, father or which ever male relative had control of her. A woman could not bring suit in a court of law, because she had no standing in the court. She could not give sworn testimony unless her Male keeper vouched for her word. She could not even claim her own children. Education was denied to Women. Woman had NO Rights. A woman without a male protector had no right to any kind of protection. She could not sign a contract, have a bank account or inherit property or money. Women were at the total mercy of a system that was rigged to keep her penniless and without any rights. The ministers preached from the pulpits that a husband should control his wife my any means necessary, however they should not use a rod bigger in diameter than their thumb. A woman was not allowed to refuse sex with her husband, and should she have a miscarriage due to the abuse of her husband that was also her fault. Do we really want to bring any thing that comes from that time forward and lay it upon our daughters or granddaughters or any woman for that matter.

So if you are contemplating marriage or know a woman who is think about this and pass it along.

This question WAS NOT ASKED AT MY DAUGHTERS WEDDING.

Some of the main stream ones have regressed in the area of Women's rights and Human rights.

Women who don't submit to husbands are to blame for domestic violence, says Baptist scholar

One reason that men abuse their wives is because women rebel against their husband's God-given authority, a Southern Baptist scholar said in a Texas church recently.

Bruce Ware, professor of Christian theology at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, said women desire to have their own way instead of submitting to their husbands because of sin.

"And husbands on their parts, because they're sinners, now respond to that threat to their authority either by being abusive, which is of course one of the ways men can respond when their authority is challenged--or, more commonly, to become passive, acquiescent, and simply not asserting the leadership they ought to as men in their homes and in churches," Ware said from the pulpit of Denton Bible Church in Denton, Texas.

Ware said God created men and women equally in God's image but for different roles.

"He has primary responsibility for the work and the labor and the toil that will provide for the family, that will sustain their family," he said. "He's the one in charge of leadership in the family, and that will become difficult, because of sin."

"...A woman will demonstrate that she is in fact a Christian, that she has submitted to God's ways by affirming and embracing her God-designed identity as--for the most part, generally this is true--as wife and mother, rather than chafing against it, rather than bucking against it, rather than wanting to be a man, wanting to be in a man's position, wanting to teach and exercise authority over men,"

There are various articles out there that put forth such gems as that Christian Women should not use birth control, because the only Christian reason for having sex is to create children. However they also say that women must submit sexually to their husbands when ever her husband desires to have sex. Also that women who seek a separation and or divorce from their husband on the grounds of sexual infidelity or abuse should go to their church and let the elders of the church decide if their health or life is in danger so as not to compound one sin with another sin. A woman is not equipped to make those kind of decisions on her on.

The treatment of women by the Christian Religion has been no worse than the treatment we see being handed out by the Muslim Religion. As our Muslim sister fight to be recognized a full member of the human race we must stand with them. We have fought that battle and we still fight it today.

Modern Britain that Lord Carey is speculating about.

Are Christians such a minority that they risk persecution at the hands of those whom the Christians have persecuted for the last oh 2000+ years? I somehow think that as a group Christians are probably the least persecuted of any religious group yet they tend to be the most vocal about any attempt to prevent them from persecuting other groups.

They(Christians) have always had a persecution complex.

"Imagine if the Tea Party Was Black" - Tim Wise
Let’s play a game, shall we? The name of the game is called “Imagine.” The way it’s played is simple: we’ll envision recent happenings in the news, but then change them up a bit. Instead of envisioning white people as the main actors in the scenes we’ll conjure - the ones who are driving the action - we’ll envision black folks or other people of color instead. The object of the game is to imagine the public reaction to the events or incidents, if the main actors were of color, rather than white. Whoever gains the most insight into the workings of race in America, at the end of the game, wins.

I dare you to read this and ponder it and see how it might change you view of the Tea Party.

A Fallen Soldier Comes Home

At 10:45 AM we watched the charted Lear Jet land. As it taxied in, a county vehicle went out to meet it and escort it in. The Airport Fire Trucks were waiting on either side of the entrance to the ramp and when the Lear Jet approached the water cannons formed an arch. As the Jet continued the Fire Trucks fell in behind and stopping short of the area of the ramp where the Lear Jet parked, the firemen dismounted their trucks and fell in as solemn witness of the homecoming of a fallen soldier.
The linemen marshaled the plane into position, the hearse moved into position and the Military Honor Guard approached the plane. The family stood in silence waiting. The large doors of the Jet opened and the pilot and co-pilot began the task of assembling the rails and ramp to bring out the silver colored, flag draped coffin. It was one of those slow motion salutes as the Honor Guard prepared to accept home the fallen soldier.

It was a bright, clear beautiful morning and for this brief time it was silent. I do not know the name of this soldier, nor do I know this family, however this event which I witnessed this morning has had a profound effect on me.
This is the first "Fallen Soldier" flight that we have had come into our airport.
The family wanted it as it was. Just the family and the Honor Guard. The staff all watched from inside, so as not to intrude upon the family. I knew that this flight was going to come in, the Military liaison was in last week to make the arrangements, I did not know until this morning that today was the day.
For a short span of time, everything else was put aside, this was the most important thing that we did today.

flavor of Christianity is the right one and what will happen to the other ones. Does this mean that the religions that are non-Christian are going to be at the mercy of these bright children? Whose interpretation of The Word is going to be the chosen one and what happens to all the other ones. Is there going to be crusades to cleanse the ones deemed to be in error? Looking back at history for clues, does this mean that book burning and destruction of schools and institutes of learning that do not conform to this virtual theocracy will be destroyed as they have been in the past. Are we then going to be looking at another Dark age as all learning, art, culture except that which is approved by this virtual theocracy doomed. Will this mean an end to the sciences? Not something that I would be looking forward to.

solve the problem or correct the behavior.

If the Pope is truly sorry for the grievous suffering that has been caused then admit the wrong (confession) and accept the punishment for the wrong (penitence) and do not continue or allow to cotinue the behavior that caused the suffering. Practice what you preach, and fix the problem.

all women were property. Property of their fathers until they wed then property of their husbands. Women could not own property, vote, receive any wages they earned, sign a contract or bring suit in a court of law. Their sworn word had no weight unless their father, husband or which ever male in their family which had control of them vouched for their word. They could not claim their own children, basically women were slaves. The reason for this goes back to a time in early history when the male half of the race too over. They (men) then claimed that all evil came into the world due to Eve. For this crime all women are evil, and weak, and are not to be trusted. This also goes back to times when damage to hair cuttings or nail cuttings would cause damage to the man that these cuttings came from. Sos it goes that any damage done to the sperm or unborn child of said man would do damage to that man's spirit. So, therefore, these things could not really be trusted to the evil perverted nature of woman. This was also a time then the only God blessed reason for having sexual relations with this evil creature called woman was to create a baby. Allowing a woman any pleasure in the act was unthinkable. Allowing a woman to refuse a have sexual relations with her husband was a sin. It was justifiable for the husband to use any means at his disposal to force his wife into meeting his needs. Men were encouraged from the pulpit on a weekly basis to physically and sexually abuse their wives. There are some today who still look at women as property, and are teaching even today that women who are abused by their husbands are to blame for their own abuse because they are not submissive enough to their husbands. Husbands who abuse their step daughters do so only because their wife is not doing her duty to care for her husband's needs.
Stupak wants to revert to a time when women had NO rights, received no education, and had to have a male keeper to keep the rest of the MALE world safe from woman's evil nature. Stupak and his cohorts want to make woman less than a full member of the human race. This goes along with the guy in Utah who wants to make it possible to charge any woman who as a miscarriage with a crime if she has engaged in any activity which is deemed as may have contributed to that miscarriage. Like if she falls down a flight of stairs, did she do so to cause a miscarriage. If she is mugged or beaten, did she pay someone to beat her or mug her in the hopes of causing a miscarriage. Any activity which is deemed reckless could be grounds for charging her with the murder of her unborn child.
The underlying theme, Women are less than human, evil creatures, and if not required to continue the race and provide sexual pleasure to men they would have gotten rid of all of us a long time age. So somewhere in their black little hears, they really hate women mostly because they can not do without us and because that one external muscle that men can not flex and plays such a large part of man's self-esteem seems to be there and respond to the sight, smell, thought of this evil creature woman.
