Next Tuesday, three citizens who filed public document requests will be getting the ballots from Sheridan County in the Trauner-Cubin US House race -- which Cubin, somewhat incredibly, supposedly won by abt 700 votes. They will count them under the supervision of trained election judges with the goal being, as they say, not to overturn the election, but to check the accuracy of the new voting counting equipment.

Trauner chose not to ask for a recount -- paid for out of his pocket -- after learning the state would simply resubmit the ballots to the machines.

I'm looking forward to the citizen recount results.

It now reads: Bush vows to press forward with Iraq plan. I guess they thought the other sounded too controversial or something. Curious.

We stood in front of the courthouse proclaiming 3,000 dead .... but no one wrote an article about us. I wonder how many other places this occurred & what made the Plain Dealer take notice? Although, of course, I am glad they did....

She took so much abuse and most of it was so undeserved. It especially rankles me when you see it has become conventional wisdom to lump "Waco & Ruby Ridge" together and blame them both on her -- totally ignoring that Ruby Ridge happened under GHWB.

This strikes me as a great topic for a letter to the editor. Remind all those who aren't yet convinced that the repugs can't govern exactly how irresponsible and incompetent these fools have shown themselves to be.

Don't ever again put people who hate government in charge of it. And don't hire a plumber who hates plumbing to fix your toilet, either.

People die every day. Good people and bad people. I figure somewhere there is something of a quota to be met. Therefore, I refuse to pretend to regret when one of the bad ones is taken.

Her account does not vary from Rankin's anymore.

And, as for the blaming it on Rush, I believe that was some snark printed in the Billings paper.

I just came from a great Trauner rally and am very optimistic about this race.

Of course, Johnson's gambit (shown once) worked. But that started off with fuzzy warm pictures of the little girl with her flowers. The contrast, IMO, made that work. This is just fear, fear, fear....
