Breaking: .....Papers, Please: Senate President Pearce Has Been Recalled!
"Mark down July 8th as a day history was made in Arizona.
In a swift affirmation of Arizona’s fast growing and powerful new political movement, Secretary of State Ken Bennett notified Gov. Jan Brewer that the once seemingly invincible architect of the state’s controversial SB 1070 “papers please” immigration law has officially been recalled. Bennett confirmed that the recall petitions delivered by the Citizens for a Better Arizona “exceeds the minimum signatures required by the Arizona Constitution.”
“Let’s make no mistake about it,” said Randy Parraz, co-founder of the Citizens for a Better Arizona. “Russell Pearce has been recalled.”
"According to Bennett’s statement, Pearce has two options: Resign from office within five business days, or become a candidate in the recall election. Either way, Pearce becomes the first state senate president in recent memory to be recalled in the nation."

"Unbelievable! Court Rules US Taxpayers, Not BP Or Transocean, Are Liable For Gulf Oil Spill Clean Up Costs"
"US District court has dismissed over 100,000 lawsuits brought against BP And Transocean to pay for oil spill clean up costs and environmental damages caused to the Gulf of Mexico from the BP Gulf Oil Spill. The court ruled that injury stopped the moment the well was sealed and the Federal Government, aka The US Taxpayer, is now liable for clean up costs along with any damages caused by deficiencies of the cleanup of the Gulf Of Mexico.
The US District Courts have ruled that since oil is no longer flowing from the Macando Well BP and Transocean are not liable for cleanup costs and damages from the BP Gulf Oil Spill since the “well has already been sealed and the injury has already been committed”.
In the ruling the court goes on note that Federal Government is in charge of the oil spill clean up efforts. Thus any damages related to the cleanup are now the burden of the Federal Government, meaning the US Taxpayer."
Gennette Nicole Cordova’s statement, in full:
"Friday evening I logged onto Twitter to find that I had about a dozen new mentions in less than an hour, which is a rare occurrence. When I checked one of the posts that I had been tagged in I saw that it was a picture that had supposedly been tweeted to me by Congressman Anthony Weiner."
"The account that these tweets were sent from was familiar to me; this person had harassed me many times after the Congressman followed me on Twitter a month or so ago. Since I had dealt with this person and his cohorts before I assumed that the tweet and the picture were their latest attempts at defaming the Congressman and harassing his supporters.
Annoyed, I responded with something along the lines of “are you f***ing kidding me?” and “I’ve never seen this. You people are sick.” I blocked their accounts, made my page private, and let the matter drop, expecting them to eventually do the same."
Just in case anyone is unfamiliar with Breibart's latest, despicable stunt:
"Breitbart publishes risqué photo, claims it’s Anthony Weiner’s wiener":
Premiers in Iowa - then on to New Hampshire, South Carolina and the rest of the States.
Isn't is about 100 years to late for Joseph Goebbels Ministry of Propaganda type messaging?
This is her only option as I see it - she CANNOT debate, CANNOT answer those "gotcha" questions.
I admit - I am a bit worried about all of the voters who pay no attention to politics - they will fall n love with the image of the "commonsense" candidate on the movie screen.
I have already read "Blind Allegiance" by Frank Baily and 'The Lies of Sarah Palin" by Geoffrey Dunn. I am convinced that she is a delusional sociopath. But how many of the overall electorate are on to her?
"Santana blasts Georgia immigration bill before Braves game"
"Legendary rock guitarist Carlos Santana, in town to be honored for a “Beacon of Change” award at Sunday’s MLB Civil Rights Game at Turner Field, called the state's new immigration law "anti-American."
"Santana took his turn at the podium on the field in a pre-game ceremony before the Braves-Phillies game to criticize the immigration bill just signed into law by Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal Friday.
“I represent the human race,” the Mexican-born Carlos Santana said. “The people of Arizona, the people of Atlanta, Georgia, you should be ashamed of yourselves.”
"It’s an anti-American law. It’s a cruel law, actually," Santana said. "If you all remember what it was like here with Martin Luther King and the dogs and the hoses, it’s the same thing, only it’s high tech. So let’s change it.”
"Yesterday on Fox Business, host Neil Cavuto interviewed Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, the second-largest shareholder of Fox News-parent company News Corp, to discuss a wide variety of current events. Before the interview, Cavuto correctly issued a disclaimer, noting for his audience that Bin Talal “holds nearly seven percent equity stake in News Corp.”
But today on his Fox News show (which commands a far larger audience than Fox Business), Cavuto re-aired parts of yesterday’s interview and offered no such disclaimer. Rather, Fox thought it was more important to air a segment of the interview where Cavuto coaxed Bin Talal into saying Fox Business is his favorite business news channel."
"Doesn’t Fox News think it’s particularly relevant that the person who is vouching for network also happens to fund the network?"

"A Texas high school teacher has been placed on administrative leave following an incident where he allegedly told a 9th grade Muslim girl in his algebra class "I bet that you're grieving" on Monday following the death of Osama bin Laden.
According to one parent at Clear Brook High School in Houston who spoke about the incident to a local ABC affiliate, the teacher also said, "I heard about your uncle's death."
The parent said the student "understood that he was referring about Osama bin Laden being killed and was racially profiling her."
"When the girl began crying, the teacher asked why. When another student told the teacher it was because of what he said, he apparently 'smirked and giggled' before walking away."
Donald Trump's racial discrimination problem -was sued by Dept. of Justice
"In the 1970s, he was sued by the feds for not renting to African-Americans"
"One of Donald's first challenges came in October 1973, when the Justice Department hit the Trump Organization with a major discrimination suit for violating the Fair Housing Act. The Times reported:
... the Government contended that Trump Management had refused to rent or negotiate rentals "because of race and color." It also charged that the company had required different rental terms and conditions because of race and that it had misrepresented to blacks that apartments were not available."
always had "a great relationship with 'the blacks,' eh donald?
Here is the Republican Platform!
by Dave Bradley @ Blog for Iowa
1) We promise to destroy Medicare as you know it. Eventually we will destroy Medicare altogether. Buy insurance from our contributors or die.
2) We still plan to end Social Security. We will hook you up with a Wall Street betting account. Good luck.
3) Ending taxes for the rich is still our top priority. Make no doubt about that. If you make a million bucks a year, we got your back. Others need not apply.
4) We also plan to kill unions of all stripes by creating laws that make them impossible to organize or fund. Without unions and with outsourcing, American labor will be really cheap for business in the coming years. We really don’t care about jobs, just keeping labor costs low. Speaking of low cost labor – what do you think desperate 67 year olds will work for?
5) We want to put health care decisions back where they belong – in the hands of the insurance companies.
6) One group that should not be allowed to make their own medical decisions is women. They are the breeding material. After that, what good are they?
7) We intend to privatize everything that governments do today.
- Roads and bridges.
- You name it we’ll privatize it.
8) We will continue to work hard to separate Americans into groups such as ethnic groups, religious groups and of course a special category for gays.
9) What the generals want, the generals get. No price is too high. Enlisted folks however are another story.
10) And don’t forget, we love God and Jesus.

IT'S HERE! Budget plan to counter Ryan's Proposal - put forward by the co-chairs of the 80-member Congressional Progressive Caucus
"The People's Budget"
"Just when it seemed that all of Washington had lost its values and its connection with the American people, a bolt of hope has arrived. It is the People's Budget put forward by the co-chairs of the 80-member Congressional Progressive Caucus. Their plan is humane, responsible, and most of all sensible, reflecting the true values of the American people and the real needs of the floundering economy. Unlike Paul Ryan's almost absurdly vicious attack on the poor and working class, the People's Budget would close the deficit by raising taxes on the rich, taming health care costs (including a public option), and ending the military spending on wars and wasteful weapons systems."
"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once.
Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action!
It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."
TSA Employee Carole Smith Fired for Being a Wiccan
"What would you do if you lost your job because of your religious beliefs? Unthinkable, isn’t it? Christians today complain that they are a persecuted religion, that there is a war on Christianity. But when was the last time a Christian was fired for being a Christian?"
"Witch-hunts are still very much a part of the fundamentalist Christian worldview; an off-shoot of the spiritual warfare so many of them believe is taking place behind the scenes. They happen in Africa, and they can happen here. And as Joe McCarthy proved through their secular manifestation, you don’t actually have to be “guilty” to be punished as if you were."
"Carole Smith .... was fired from her job with the TSA after a co-worker accused her of witchcraft and putting a hex on her car. Yes. You read that right. And no, it’s not 1311. It’s 2011."
Indiana prosecutor denies encouraging Wisconsin violence
By Kate Golden
Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism
"The email came to Gov. Scott Walker from the personal account of a deputy prosecutor and Republican activist in Indiana.
After praise for Walker, the email — sent Feb. 19, during union demonstrations against Walker’s budget repair bill — then took a darker turn. It suggested that the situation in Wisconsin presented “a good opportunity for what’s called a ‘false flag’ operation.”
“If you could employ an associate who pretends to be sympathetic to the unions’ cause to physically attack you (or even use a firearm against you), you could discredit the unions,” the email said."

BREAKING NEWS: 100-Mile Long Oil Slick Spotted Off Louisiana Coast
" A large oil slick – 12-miles wide by 100-miles long – has been spotted off Grand Isle, Louisiana, and New Orleans photographer Jerry Moran is filing aerial photos."
"The suspected source is the Matterhorn Mc243 facility only about 25 miles from where BP’s Macondo well spewed more than 200 million gallons of crude into the Gulf last year.
There are already allegations that the Coast Guard and other authorities are busy trying to cover up the spill, so stay tuned."
