Of note:
Of North Carolina's 603,000 new voters this year, 48 percent are Democrats and 21 percent Republicans. Nearly a third are independents.
By comparison, in 2004, Democrats made up 39 percent of new voters and Republicans, 34 percent.

I about jumped out of my chair when he said that in the debate last night - sneaking in the revenue piece and misrepresenting it as half of all of small businesses would see their taxes go up. :mad:
What is his definition of small business? I guarantee that no more than 10% (and that is being gracious) of the "small businesses" are the ones that bring in that 50% of the revenue. It is probably closer to 5, or even less.
Someone needs to bring this one up.

This is my personal example, and is a very minor one, but puts everything into perfect perspective about the system.
This summer, my son got sick and was coughing a lot for 2 weeks, so we took him to the doctor. After paying the copay, the doc said he wanted to make sure he didn't have pneumonia (or some such) and wanted a chest Xray. Well, he doesn't do that in his office, so refers it out.
