i think a HRC/BO ticket would be just what the party needs to get over this nasty primary season. and to hell with what mccain would say in his ads. he'd say things no matter who was on the ticket. i think a HRC/BO ticket is genius (i've been saying this for months now).
and i'm sad to say, it'll not provide the accomplishments we would expect from injecting that many troops into a guerilla zone. this isn't some border war.
i don't have a plan for iran. nobody does. and that's the problem.
i'd sure like to hear from DU'ers on this... what would you suggest we do? me? i'd say we pull out. in a big way. as i heard on nbc nightly news tonite, we can not defend iraqis from themselves.
if we pulled out, all that crap the admistration would have you believe would happen, well, i jus can't remember the last time their predictions came out the way they said it would.
far as i could see. he may have been nervous at the time he took the lie detector, but everything he said was believable. and being a gay man, i could see a lying queen a mile away. this wasn't one of 'em.
'signiing statements'. i mean, what the f()#/
DURHAM, N.H. — A University of New Hampshire student from Mason City is leading a protest movement that is drawing national attention.
Bill Hunt, 20, will be a guest on the Hannity & Colmes television program tonight to discuss his efforts to oust William Woodward, a psychology professor who Hunt and others claim expresses far too liberal views in his classroom.
The program airs at 8 p.m. CST on Fox News, channel 55 in Mason City.
Woodward has come under fire for telling students that the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, may have been planned by the U.S. government. Globe Gazettehas anybody heard about this woodward guy?
and people are getting IM and email mixed up. were these IM messages, or emails? it seems that since everything i've seen has been a conversation, it would be IM. i haven't seen any emails (yet). anybody else seen any?
crazy. i think the interpretation of his words could be the root of all this, um, misunderstanding. as far as iran having the bomb, why shouldn't they be capable of defending themselves against a nuclear israel. i don't see iran occupying and terrorizing people, but i do see israel terrorizing the palestinians with their missile attacks. sure, hezbollah is trying to defend the palestinians, and i'm sure iran would side with hezbollah on a number of issues. but as far as being the boogie man, i would havng that hat on israel as much as i would hezbollah.
i'm mixed about whether they treated it with fairness or not. of course i went into it expecting a smear job ala swift boats, but i didn't get that. allbright was portrayed as some wild boar. but i did come away with it feeling that it demonstrated how much effort was put into tracking down osama, and i thought, gee, had they kept that momentum, there woudn't have ever been a 9/11. so what the hell happened?
bush happened. i know. but damn if they continue to cry ignorance after this.
at this point, who cares who hit who first. they both need to stop. both of them need to say enough is enough and each go to their respective corners and seek out how the rest of the world feels. these guys are so boiled up in their own tit-for-tat (as opposed to tidbit) that i'll bet they've lost track of who hit who first. it's time they just shut up, put down their weapons, and take a 72 hour breather. they do it for 3 days they should be able to do it for a week. etc etc etc.
but it aint gonna happen with them acting like fools trying to be blameless.
i say every little bit helps. one law here, an ordinance there... freedom is hard work.
DES MOINES — A newly formed group called Iowans Concerned About Judges is asking about 80 judges who are up for retention this November to declare their positions on a number of controversial issues.
The group, made up of a handful of conservative organizations, contends Iowans have a right to know how judges feel about same-sex marriage, abortion, assisted suicide, eminent domain, displaying the Ten Commandments in courtrooms and schools and other issues
The five-page judicial questionnaire, containing 15 questions, was e-mailed this month to judges who are up for retention. The two-week deadline to return the form is Thursday.
Chuck Hurley, president of the Iowa Family Policy Center, said voters want to be informed when deciding whether to retain judges. Part of their concern, he said, is that judicial activism has crept into the American judiciary. The questionnaire aims to bring accountability, he added. more @ the Globe Gazette. i wonder if iowa has this conservative group trying to pin judges down on how they're going to vote on certain issues that other states don't have the same problem with these reich-wing extremists who are attacking the judicial branch of our government.
their attitude about homosexuality was just as you said, a 'man's job' when it was for pleasure because it was a 'woman's job' to have children. made me happy is all i can say.
