Republican propagandist/strategist Frank Luntz is up to his old slimy tricks. He’s feeding the GOP talking points, better known as big lies, to slander and discredit the nascent Occupy movement, as well as to attempt to divert people’s attention from the crimes perpetrated by corporate titans, who have sold the public a bill of goods and are extorting the little they have to their name.
We have long cracked the code of the GOP politics of distortion and distraction. So, here’s how to answer back when Republicans attack Occupy and Democrats with their worn-out, empty talking points.
When the GOP says, “Don't say 'capitalism' “; say ‘economic freedom’ or a ‘free market’”, you say, “21st century robber barons”, “predatory corporate tyranny” or “financial parasites.”
When a Republican says, “Don't say that the government 'taxes the rich.' Instead, tell them that the government 'takes from the rich.'”, you say, “Rich freeloaders need to pay back what they stole” , “economic justice” or that government should “create a tax structure according to ability to pay.”
When the GOP bleats, “Republicans should forget about winning the battle over the 'middle class' and that they should call them 'hardworking taxpayers'”, you answer back, “We should focus on taking back the country from the unelected and unaccountable ‘fourth branch of the government’, a.k.a., corporate predators getting rich from the hard work of others.”
When the GOP drones, “Don't talk about 'jobs'; talk about 'careers’”, you ought to come back with, “Don’t talk about jobs until you do something to put people back to work again. Until then, sit down and shut up.”
When Republican whine, “Don't say 'government spending'”, come back with “Republicans don’t have trouble giving government handouts to criminal banksters.”
When the GOP is told, “Don't ever say you're willing to 'compromise'”, tell them “’Sticking to your principles’ and not giving an inch, even when you’re proven wrong, is a sign of weakness. Compromise is a sign of strength.”
When a repuke is told to say, “The three most important words you can say to an Occupier: 'I get it'”, just answer, “I wasn’t born yesterday; you not only don’t get it, you’re the ones carrying water for the billionaires and corporate criminals.”
Don’t fall for the Republicans’ empty promises and false compassion. If they tell you, "First off, here are three words for you all: 'I get it.' . . . 'I get that you're angry. I get that you've seen inequality. I get that you want to fix the system", tell them “You lying bastards. We know whose side you’re on, and it sure as hell is not ours.”
When the GOP calls an “entrepreneur” a “job creator”, watch out. They’re trying to make the financial and corporate criminals out to be heroes.
When Republicans come out with their "job creators" instead of "entrepreneurs" and "innovators" crap, come back with this: “If Wall Street titans are such job creators, where are the jobs? Don’t tell us we have to emigrate to India or China because they won’t hire us, either.” Or, you can try this one on for size: “Job creators” is GOP doubletalk for “job destroyers.”
When Luntz tells the GOP, “Don't ever ask anyone to 'sacrifice'”, he means “Don’t tell the banksters and lobbyists to give up their iron grip on wealth and power. Just blackmail the Democrats.”
When the GOP comes out with their “always blame Washington” bullshit, tell them they’re blaming Washington because they’re slaves to Wall Street.

p.s. feel free to add your comebacks to Luntz propaganda.
