So I was hoping to save this milestone for welcoming President Obama into office November 4 (or 5th depending on how late it is), 2008 but I've been a little worked up lately about the right wing, crunch-time scare tactics.

Just for this special occasion, please allow me to talk a little bit about my religion (quiet your grumbles…). I am a liberal Christian wife and mother. I was raised in the Baptist Church and I pray to a loving God …

If I were to die tomorrow, I know in my heart, that I will be going to Heaven…that is the graciousness of my FAITH…and I couldn’t imagine life without it.

I have tried to live a good life…and I have failed miserably at times. But the God that I pray to isn’t a hateful God…

I have to wonder what God the McCain supporters pray to because MY God does not approve of their hate…He does not approve of their bigotry…His teachings go against it.

And I just wonder, how they can be so afraid of a man’s middle and last name…if their God was MY God, they wouldn’t fear a thing…

Letter to the Editor...

Those living in Strongsville have celebrities in your midst, but I wouldn’t be proud. Strongsville residents have been seen on YouTube from each McCain rally (Middleburg Heights and Strongsville). The basis: The attendees of the McCain rallies are “interviewed" with questions, such as "How long have you known the name Sarah Palin? Barack Obama?" Based on the vile that came from their mouths, I say the world has seen you for what you really are… ignorant, unintelligent, uneducated bigots that obviously don’t hold “Country First”. How could any of you be concerned for your country, its security, the failing economy, healthcare, jobs, civil rights, (and the list goes on) if you are so narrow-minded as to choose a President based on his name? You all know who you are. Anyone with morals or a conscious would be ashamed.

It is every American’s privilege to vote. Never would I tell you who to vote for. But I beg you to empower and educate yourselves. Research the candidate’s policies via their web pages. Please make your choice on the issues that affect you, your family, and your future. Don’t hand over your vote to the crunch-time scare tactics
