I followed the results on American and Canadian TV stations. The big thing, the focus, the excitation tonight were all about the Democratic Party and it's 2 main candidates.

Nobody (or almost) questions the fact that your next president will be a democratic candidate.

A Light Blue or Dark Blue...
We,outside of the USA, don't care which Blue you will be choosing as long as it is Blue...

Red is synonym of nightmares and lies.
Red is synonym of money power and treason.
Red is synonym of war and death.


But the redness of the Republican party is not the main focus tonight.

Not for me and neither for my friends: Canadians, Europeans, Africans...

We, the rest of the world, want America to become more human, more humble, less interventionist. This can happen only if there is a big change in the White House.


Here indulge me to quote a Canadian poll: a percentage (sorry I don't remember the exact number) of our voting population is ready to give up it's right to vote in our Prime Minister election in exchange to be granted the right to vote in Your Election Day.

Think about it...

We all support you in your fight against the bushcos. We all support you so you can find your Voice again.

On a more personal note, if you allow me, dear neighbors.

All of last fall, I would had chosen Obama.
In the last few weeks I was wavering between him and Hilary.
This morning I would had voted for her.
Tonight I would had voted for him.

Why can't you guys find a way to have both of them together?

I know, I know, it's not how it works in the US of A.
But one can dream.

Her name is Elizabeth. She now lives in Quebec city and we have been friends for a few years.

Today May 8th, is the anniversary of her dad execution in the 1972 genocide. ( Tutsi murdering Hutus.) Elizabeth was 9 at the time.


She felt it was her duty to relate publicly how her Dad died.

It's hard for me to understand why she has to be so careful when she publicly reports about events from the past.

Well, I just wanted to share a bit about what's going on in the African continent.

With the big WWW, Africans in exile can contribute in helping their people to remember.

Like the White People (us) they want to tell about the sad episodes in their history so people remember and don't repeat the same mistakes.

When are we going to pay attention to that part of the World: African continent ?

In my point of view you should not spend time arguing among yourselves about gay rights, woman rights etc. You guys belong to the USA: you are the majority when it comes to world power. (Or you used to up to a couple of years ago for the ones who follow international politics.)

Indulge me while I tell you how my People built its self-esteem...

Till the 60s the French-Canadian, were feeling and acting as second class citizens cause we were a minority within Canada. (Even thou we were the direct descendants of one of the founding People)

On top of it the Catholic Church was keeping (up to my my parents generation) the Quebequers on a tight leash. True, they (the catholic church) helped preserving our mother tongue and culture but their oppression was a high price to pay.

So the Revolution Tranquille happened. We did not feel the need to take arms. The name is self-explanatory: tranquille means quiet.

My People succeeded in trowing out the Church and obliterate (almost)our identity as second class citizens (which came with the intrinsic acceptance of the anglo-saxon dominance over our economic life.)

All those words used as a preamble to demonstrate the fact that all Quebequers, male and female know about the difficulties that can arise when you are part of a minority.



The gut feeling for surviving and go beyond that state: finding a true identity worth of respect for anybody to feel and see.

Please my American friends, work together to regain your identity. You are now in the uncomfortable position of being isolated.

Coming back to the phone call, the volunteer for the ADQ party
wanted to know my intentions about the up coming elections and if I was following the campaign on the news.

My first answer was: I care more about the American politics cause it affects almost the whole planet.

I did admit following the actual provincial campaign from a more distant point of view.

I am one of the undecided.

Like many Nationalists (different than Separatists or Indepedantists) I like Mario Dumont strong position about defending our National territory and values. On the other hand, Dumont comes across as a right wing leader and this is the opposite of my core values.

Charest: I despise everything he stands for and everything he pretends to stand for. He is sleeping with Harper.

Please forgive my vulgarity : Jean Charest is sucking up Steven's dick to get more money so he can stay in power and pretend to care about the French Canadian nation.

When it comes to the Parti Québequois: Strategically Boisclair is an avant-gardist: an open homosexual who admitted taking coke while being a minister under the Lucien Bouchard government.

But if you put aside those 2 facts, he represents the establishment almost as much as Jean Charest.

A journalist said today (on Radio-Canada): people feel like they have to chose between 3 clowns... What's the difference? They are still clowns, rehearshing the same stuff: the Independantists promising Nirvana and the Federalists announcing the end of the world if we don't vote for them.

The only party the left agrees on is :Québec Solidaire.

It has 2 heads (male and female), their official platform is : feminist, social-democrat, green and souverainist.

Most Quebec citizens fed up with the 2 official parties (Liberal and PQ)are leaning toward Quebec Solidaire.

Which bring them (and me) in the position of voting for a 3rd party with no chance of being in power. How will my 3rd-party-vote influence the outcome? Should I care?

At this point of time I don't know.

I am only sure of one thing: Kick the hell out of Charest. I believe his prime ambition is to become prime minister of Canada. There is a joke in our province about it: Charest is more popular in Calgary than he is in Montmagny (a small rural precint).

From day one Charest acted out as an arrogant anti-syndicalist thug. He knows how to attack his main opponent: Fear, fear and more fear.

Why doesn't he have the guts to defend Federalism if he believes its the only path for an always evolving Quebec Nation.

The only thing he has to offers is to scare the Quebec people: .....

I don't have the patience to list the lits of problems we would face if the Parti Quebequois was elected.

Anyway, since I am addressing this post to anglophone canadians, I am sure you all know more than me about the abyss we would all be facing.


Correct me if I am wrong: the Parti Québequois served many years has the government. In general they acted has a good and responsible government. They brought forth 2 referendums. Lost twice. But they still went on on acting as a responsible government.

You see the problem is insidious. If and when the Separatist party get elected, it gets so busy managing the public finances that there is no time left to reach the heart of the people for building up a force toward a real National recognition.

(Sorry guys, my last paragraph is all askew...) maybe its the beer or maybe its; excuse my english... who knows.


Anyhow, tonight I wanted to share my views in the actual campaign going on in my part of the world.

I am and always be first une Québequoise.

I lived 5 years in Vancouver, my daughter was borned there. I shared my life with a Prairies guy for 10 years, sent my son to an english school..etc. which proves my openness to the ROC.

My family is French Canadian. We are all bilingual.

I am deeply attached to my People. I am a Nationalist but not a Separatist. Does it makes sense to you?

Those laws are efficient after the fact. To punish those who lost their sense of humanity.

I never was and probably never will be on the front lines as a combatant.

So please be indulgent as I try to understand more about the behavior of individuals stocked in a hellish situation.


Lets take a group of 15 soldiers.

The weak characters, when confronted with intolerable pain,( and its not important if its coming from their side or the enemy side) will feel lost, and try everything to get rid of that overwhelming emotion.

Too much is too much.. so they say...and they will instinctively lower their human moral standard, and embraced the next acceptable code : the Forces.


Consequently, Most (9) will follow blindly their leader ( the official one or the natural one) and from that point on, their actions will have no weight on their conscience cause they silenced it. The responsibility now lies on the Other one.


The ones left (6) are sitting at both extremes, with their pain more acute than "most " cause they have a stronger sense of self. (It doesn't matter if their self image is real or just illusions.) Among those few, half or more will keep their humanity and get closer to the angels while some of their comrades will numb their pain by taking pleasure in hurting the "enemy" and/or any individuals representing that enemy.

Does it make sense?

The survival of your(economic) Nation, it's disappearing middle class and the erosion of many basic rights are at stakes and you are arguing about some politically correct way to....pick a topic.

I am Tired of feeling sad for your loss:
The American Dream is not The Answer anymore.

Imagine and create a new one. A new American way of being, coming from your heart with you values. Not one based on profits and on BIGGER is BETTER.
