What is FEMA all about?
When New Orleans did not get the expected help from FEMA, I became curious of what assistance FEMA was supposed to provide, so I googled "FEMA" and found an article written by Harry V. Martin in 1995 entitled FEMA - the Secret Government. It was quite an eye-opener. I will comment on a few things that I found quite shocking but I suggest that you read the entire article for yourself. What I see being revealed is a "Big Brother" society being constructed right under our noses and the majority of people deny it because they don't want to believe that the government would actually do such a thing. It is time to wake up and smell the coffee.

First of all, I thought FEMA was a government organization that provided assistance to people when a natural disaster struck. Pretty lame thinking. Then I read, "This government organization has more power than the President of the United States or the Congress, it has the power to suspend laws, move entire populations, arrest and detain citizens without a warrant and hold them without trial, it can seize property, food supplies, transportation systems, and can suspend the Constitution." That is power that you don't want to see get abused yet very few people know it even exists.

Where did FEMA come from? Martin states, "FEMA was created in a series of Executive Orders. A Presidential Executive Order, whether Constitutional or not, becomes law simply by its publication in the Federal Registry. Congress is by-passed ... FEMA has only spent about 6 percent of its budget on national emergencies, the bulk of their funding has been used for the construction of secret underground facilities to assure continuity of government in case of a major emergency, foreign or domestic ... This allows the government to increase domestic intelligence and surveillance of U.S. citizens and would restrict the freedom of movement within the United States and grant the government the right to isolate large groups of civilians." The killing of students at Kent State in 1970 soured the demonstrations against the Vietnam war and it now appears if the population raised up against their government in protest of the war in Iraq, FEMA is ready to deal with them.

Does the Constitution still exist? Barely. It looks like a totalitarian government has abolished freedoms with Patriot Act I & II and people are too dumb-founded to do anything about it. Will Dictator George abolish elections and stay on the throne after 2008? It is a possibility. Since the elections are rigged, perhaps another Republican like Jeb Bush will become the next president. Am I being too paranoid? Not really. Look at what already has gone down.
