We all remember how we were deceived into waging war in Iraq. Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney used their own “intelligence” to make the case for war, while others (like Richard Clarke, George Tenet and Colin Powell) were strenuously trying to verify the actual intelligence. We all remember, also, Colin Powell going before the United Nations and (reluctantly) pulling the wool over their eyes with stories of weapons of mass destruction.

The Bush administration used selective information to lead us down this path for what appears to be personal gain. Senator Clinton’s campaign, in supporting their own case for nomination, mirrors the tactics of the Bush administration. We’ve done the math. All Senator Clinton has left is stories of weapons of mass destruction that don’t exist.

Yet her campaign continues to use these stories to convince superdelegates to support her case. In doing so, her campaign has been able to fill many with doubt about the legitimacy of Senator Obama’s candidacy. Governor Richardson was able to see through the wool. We ask the remaining superdelegates to open their eyes as well.

Don’t be fooled by the Clinton campaign’s con job. We’ve been down this road before with the Bush administration.
