Mall says that technically they were arrested for re-entering the store after being kicked out for the 'lewd' behavior of a kiss on the cheek. In other words: being a gay couple is lewd. And let pre-empt all the obnoxious "I hate public displays of affection anyway" posts. If you're willing to see your grandma and grandpa arrested at the mall for a kiss on the cheek, then you're a fascist, but at least a non-discriminatory one. If it's only gay cheek-kisses that bother you, then you're just a bigot. And please, no slippery slope arguments about 'what if they were topless and having sex right there in the mall' because they weren't.  |
