and I am so fed up with them. Calculating the political risks vs personal risks
in not supporting the FDA's decision is just more of the same we've seen from
this president and admin. An argument based on the fact that Obama has two daughters
has nothing to do with young girls for instance who are sold into sex slavery, are raped by
family members, have sex unwillingly in exchange for affection etc.
This pill has been shown safely used for any young girl who is ovulating.

I believe Planned Parenthoods will still provide Plan B.

In the last two weeks we've seen powerful men perpetrating immoral
and criminal acts against their victim's wills.
Powerful men, knowing they could get away with their actions
and a pass because of their status are held to
different and unequal standards.
It seems to sum up the last few decades in this country,
although a lesson throughout history.
It's one of the things we occupiers see as unfair and
unjust, in a country that seemed founded on justice for all.

Cain will fall and the charges will hold. His lawyer's
threats will not curtail the truth and courage of Cain's
victims, as it hasn't finally with Sandusky and the football
machine at Penn. Sandusky will go to jail or kill himself.
Hopefully these are futher lessons that this country's attitude
needs to shift and quickly.

The lessons of the occupiers and election this week should
be the focus of our future.

Really? Shades of Hill/Thomas again. Another powerful
man taking advantage of his position to force women
to service him to get ahead. No pun intended. I worry
that our current kowtowing media will give this a guy
a pass since the bar has been so lowered for candidates
running for the highest office in the land.

This GOP line up is a joke. Why don't we call it what
it is...corporate owned and run, Koch up their noses and
other body parts, lying, immoral, and corrupt. Not running
for the good of the country and us, but for their rich
backers.

This country is in real trouble and the sooner these
jokers are called out and their backgrounds vetted, we
will benefit.

God bless the brave women who have publically come forward.
Like Anita Hill, they will be slandered, but hopefully years
later, we're smarter about what sexual harrassment is
and what laws constitute crimes.

Can we get some justice in this country Mr. Holder?

Protest with your money. Don't buy the crap...the overprocessed,
additives, addictive, empty calories, Faux News, clueless and uniformed
corporate media. Know what's in it, what you put into your body and
mind.
Be aware. Protest what isn't true, what isn't right and what is injust.
You decide.

I'm there in spirit.
How will this action and movement translate into real reform?

Corporations need to pay taxes from profits made offshore and pay their fair share
Corporations need to be prosecuted for crimes
Corporations aren't people
Corporations need to be regulated
Banks need to go back to banking and lending, not speculating

Those who commit crimes should be prosecuted, including those in Bush Inc. who laid this country to waste in large part

Obama Inc. should eliminate the tax cuts for the rich and prosecute those who commmitted fraud and crimes.

Oh, and can we get our asses out of the wars we caused please Mr. President, finally?

Says volumes about the state of the Democratic
machine. They still don't have a great messaging
system, few strong voices outside the ones we
can count on one hand and despite election fraud and systematic
the continued chipping away of the ability to vote in
this country.

I really can't believe hired Dems in that district couldn't
get a Dem re-elected. Everyone should be fired.
Shameful to say the least and in this day and age,
dangerous.

A ridiculous political move on the WH part.

Now, howabout some real investigations and truth telling about 9/11.
Hard to believe ten years later, we still don't have it.

I was never a Obama fan, but have lost all faith that
he is even a Democrat, although I have little faith in
that party as well. The only hope Obama has is that
we still all think for ourselves and know that it's still
the SC, stupid.

Who are these people? What do they want? Up until M.B. won
the straw poll in Iowa, I swatted their stories away like I do
with gnats, but really? Who are these wackadoodles who apparently
don't pay attention to history or facts and like their candidates
as dumb as they are.

We can't afford stupidity anymore in this country. We had enough
with Dubya and frankly most of the Republicans elected in this
country in the last thirty years or so.

Can we get some intelligence back please, both in our elected
officials and media, recognizing they corporate owned?

Have been looking forward to posting that all day in the subject line.

The reality is that the Congress and Presidency are owned by people,
corporations and groups who have a lot of money. To take that out of
the equation is to pass a law that really works.

Now and in the future, recalls may be more commonplace since we
know our election systems can be hacked, votes padded and eliminated.

I love that the good people in Wisconsin have worked with what
they have. I wish them the very best at the end of this night;
that these recalls on the Republicans worked and that Scott Walker's
recall is not far behind.

This is true democracy, winning over the megabucks of the Kochs and their ilk.

Continue to boycott these corporations who don't stand with you.

Please protect the innocent conjugal sex fruit
By Mark Morford, SF Gate Columnist
Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Don't have sex. Gays are evil. Repress your urges. Close your legs. Quit asking questions.
Jesus loves Coors Light and large-caliber handguns. Iraq is packed like a Bieber concert with squealing nuclear warheads aimed straight at the Utah public school system. The homosexual agenda is alive and very, very real, and it wants to indoctrinate your children, steal your semen and organize your underwear drawer far, far too perfectly. Also, God is judging you. Right. This. Second.

Ahh, simpler times. Yes? You know? Back when? Not so many years ago, when we were laughing about a whole kookball buffet of socio-pathetic phenomena like abstinence education, fundamentalist zealots waving Bibles like wiffle bats, Hummers as mutant status symbols, failed trillion-dollar wars, promise rings and purity balls, Prop 8 Mormons and gay meth-snorting megachurch pastors and maybe, just maybe, getting a nice batch of anthrax in the mail?

It all seems so innocent now, so clear and silly and simple and perky and polarizing and infuriating and loud, and it all made a weird sort of sense, in the bloodthirsty, shameful context of the times: the world's worst president, the U.S. as petulant child, the political moral compass gone haywire.

Oh for God's sake. By now we all realize that our elected politicians
aren't all angels, saints, particularly smart, educated, truthful, just
or even there for all the right reasons. We've done this over and over again
with a countless list of both Republicans and Democrats. Some lies are
more criminal, some just embarrassing.
I like the way Anthony W speaks out for a progressive point of view
and uses just plain smart language to get to the root of real stupidity,
usually worn by Republicans.
If his voters don't object to his stupidity and he isn't breaking laws,
he should stay in office. His cohorts aren't exactly in a place to
throw stones. Frankly if every male pol who showed his dick in private
or public to someone who didn't want to see it, they'd all be out of
office.
And please, the media frenzy just makes me watch more decorating shows.
Fewer dicks there.

Jack K dies, John E indicted.

I would have voted for Jack K had he chosen to run. Dying with dignity and
in control of how and when you die I think is the right of any living being.
I applaud his life's work.

I always thought John E was a used car salesman...never quite rose above
his roots. I applauded some of his policy issues.

I'd rather see the courts address the crimes of Bush Inc. but Edward's
alleged fraud is fair game too.

What's really left of the original intent and purposes of the founders
of these united states?
Liars, cheaters, frauds, reality show-offs, fear mongers, those with
nothing to really win, and everything to lose own the airwaves. Those
selected electeds go with the flow afraid to lose their livings and
potential earnings and expense accounts.
The real heroes are just trying to make it all work, with some aplomb,
humor and style, on a shoestring budget, and a small hope that things
will get better, although hoping that everything bad will end sooner
than later.
We hope for a cleansing. Nothing that will harm the true believers
in democracy. but something that will end the stupidity, ignorance,
fairy tale beliefs and endless minutes filled with blather.
We want a change. We want to take it all back, and this time better
than what was intended.

I couldn't resist the obvious line to M. Antoinette's "Let them eat cake."
Dubya's admitting he was eating a souffle when he found out Bin Laden
was dead was pure SNL.

The souffle is so emblematic of the Bush era...a lot of hot air rising so much
unsubstantial filling and then falling flat when served.

So appropriate for some in the rich class in this country who earn their money
the old fashioned way...lying, cheating, hiding profits and hired for speaking
tours when speaking isn't their first language or necessarily the truth.

GW Bush should be in the Hague or Gitmo awaiting trial.
Intelligence was what finally got Bin Laden, along with some soldiering at the end.
Bush instead, spent trillions of dollars and wasted thousands of
lives unnecessarily in his two endless bombing and troops on the ground wars.

Bin Laden's dead...way overdue and not such a big factor in this country's
current dire straights.
Now let's finally investigate why those two towers came down so quickly to dust...that's the real
reason thousands died.
