I posted this yesterday, and I did not see where the thread was locked or anything like that. Just missing. I was going to refer to it today, because it was pretty solid quantitative proof that the attacks on Dennis have been orchestrated since last July. Many posters saw it as pretty damning evidence.

In a couple of these posts, I'm able to predict what terms will be used to smear Dennis: Naderite, Hamsherite, Norquist, leftbagger, kook, UFO, little/some play on height, grandstanding, whiner, hater, haterade, 3-5%, pro-life, pony, angry elf, dwarf, piece of shit, little shit, fucker, FUCK, and cracks about his wife.

Pretty solid qualitative proof that there's more to these Dennis smears than meets the eye.

I bet they thought, especially after she struck that deal by holding out on the healthcare bill, that they could catch Landrieu making some shady deal for the senior Flanagan's US attorney spot.

The magic words/memes are:

Here are the buzzwords to look for:

At least their ideology is consistent.

Rationally and calmly explain what Rahm and the DLC are all about to your low-information friends who voted for Obama just because he is not George W. Bush.

Try and find a way between now and then to concisely explain this to them without making it sound too far fetched. We are the high-information voters that the lo-info "center" gets their news and views from. That's where our power lies.

We are the alphaconsumers of political news, and it takes a while to absorb what's happening in the news, then to frame it in laymen's terms for our friends in the "center."

That's Rahm's worst nightmare. That the "left" will go mainstream (which it already would be if not for the corporate media), and that we will educate all those low-information voters about the profound snowjob that the Obama admin is trying to pull over on us.

It's not very hard, and you don't have to limit it to Dems. People are angry at Wall St. Obama hired Wall St. to oversee this recovery AND the healthcare debate, and screwed Main St. in the process. As long as you disassociate that ideology from the left, that's something EVERYONE can relate to.

It's a stupid plan, and you see here how it's backfiring. The country is progressive, and that's why Obama was so popular--he rode that wave to victory. Now they're pretending it never existed.

If they want us to act like teabaggers, they should be careful what they wish for.

Because if DU is just spewing hate for Obama, then what about the comments on Obama's facebook feed, Kos, liberal cable news and talk radio, Huffington, and every other site that allows comments on healthcare reform?

Why didn't they think of it sooner? Of course! You can mandate any problem away by just making "the problem" illegal.

Maybe some of the current political advisors who are trying to take a lesson from Clinton's presidency need to have this fact brought to their attention.

Bill Clinton's triangulation would NEVER have worked if we were able to use search engines and accessible videos to put his contradicting statements side by side. He could get away with a lot more triangulating because:

1)"Triangulating" and the DLC were not household terms among those who follow politics in 1994 the way they are in 2009 going into 2010.

2)The internets were not there to hold him accountable. Triangulation is a tool that takes advantage of people's faulty memories. It worked because when Clinton contradicted himself, we were left to say, "I could've sworn he said something different on this last month." Then you would've had to go to your public library and spend hours on a microfilm projector trying to track down the contradicting statement.

Triangulation is not going to work for Obama, as evidenced by the reaction his administration is getting in Democratic circles such as this one. We the people are armed with the internets this time, and triangulation should go the way of Prodigy, grunge, and Arsenio Hall. It's only going to backfire on Democrats as we're seeing now.

Why not try to be subtle about it? You are so OBVIOUS.

How does it feel knowing the guys WE worked so hard to put into office have sent their political armies onto the very sites WE used to drum up grassroots support for them to attack us with this meme?

Are our tax dollars paying for this? We put Obama in office just so he could sick Rahm Emanuel and his minions onto progressive websites to attack us personally? Do they really think they can create a "center party" where all the reasonable people camp out?

We already have one of those groups. We're called Progressives, and we've been right on most of the issues in this decade. How does it feel knowing the people we put into office are working to drive a wedge right down the middle of the party?
