The insurance companies drop coverage for sick people, do not insure people who have been sick (isn't that the point of healthcare?), and deny life-saving operations for those who are covered. And yet the right-wing hypocritically accuses us of proposing death panels?

30,000,000 citizens that we know of do not have healthcare. Millions more have restricted healthcare or be tossed out of insurance programs at the first sign of sickness. We spend more money on healthcare than any other country. And yet, people who are affected by this are screaming with fear that any form of Government care would be bad for them.

How stupid have we become? People are making billions off this flawed system that leaves people DEAD.

Despite this, we have blue dog democrats holding up reform. We have repug leaders LYING about what is currently available and what reform would bring.

It's amazing that there even needs to be a debate, let alone a long and heated one. What does this say?

we are going to lose in 2010 and again in 2012.

this is the time to remove the bias that the repugs instilled in our institutions.

this is the time to support organizations like ACORN (after they are cleaned up) so that they can ensure the poor gets a chance to vote.

this is the time to fix the right-wing bias in the media.

this is the time to end the wars the right started illegally.

this is the time to pass healthcare for all.

this is the time to make society fair again.

Is his support for the Public Option a signal to Fox?

First, "what they've done to American" democracy isn't specific. If it's just the last 8 years, obviously that guy is gone now. Many people like to see the country as the work of one person -- it's not. No matter which party controls the branches of government, even when one controls all three, the other still get their 'licks' in. And Federal bureaucracy is wide and deep -- not everything goes across the President's desk. No matter who the President is.

THE WARS, started by lies to congress, the American People, and the world, has resulted in thousands of soldier deaths and hundreds of thousand civilian dealths. THE ECONOMY was left in shamples with a trillion $ deficit. THE WARS still rage.

"THEY" didn't shout "LIAR" at the President. One guy did. A back-bencher no one had heard of until last week. It was inappropriate. He apologized.
However, H.R. 3200, as available to the public has no provision for verification of eligibility, and those in control of the House have rejected every attempt at remedying that deficiency. Claiming people will not seek to exploit that loophole is like claiming a law prohibiting children from buying tobacco and alcohol with NO provision for ID checking will work -- it's simply disingenuous. Saying it to Congress is insulting to them, and saying it to the American people insults them too.

THAT ONE guys has raised over $750k from idiot repug supporters that ARE condoning what Joe Wilson did. HE HAS refused to apologise in congress. AND WHAT'S worse is that WILSON IS THE ONE WHO IS LYING or HE can't understand what HE reads.

"I hate the wars they cause".
Hmmm. CAUSE? I'll give you "engage in" although a lot of Democrats voted for it too, but I'm not sure about the cause part unless you feel Republicans are solely responsible for the world we find ourselves in. That is certainly a larger question and issue than your statement suggests.
THE REPUGS lied about the reasons to go to war. AND THEIR INCOMPETANCE led to 911. They lied to congress about intelligence. they chose to destroy the careers of anyone who told the truth of the lack of WMD in Iraq

I'm not aware of any effort to withhold medical care from the needy. We have Medicare and Medicaid. They're a financial tsunami, but we HAVE them. Anyone can go into an emergency room and get emergency care. There are many free clinics and no legislation prohibiting more. As harsh as this probably sounds to you, medical care is a commodity, not a right. A "Right" does not impose a burden on anyone else, other than not violating that right. You can go without medical coverage longer than you can go without housing and food, and they're not "rights".
HAVE YOU watched SICKO the Moore movie? BTW - Moore has not been sued by the sue happy REPUGS so the facts in the movie are correct
Have you read any headlines? IT'S ABSURB to argue that the status quo does not withhold medicine from the poor, sick, and people who get sick.

"They" don't hate you because you "care about other people". Some may disagree with you because you want to actuate your "caring" with other people's money. And didn't President Johnson declare "war on poverty" over forty years ago? How is that going? What we've spent on THAT war would fund both gulf wars fifty times over. Odd that you're not upset about that failed war.

ODD THAT you would compare a symbolic war on poverty - i don't think poverty fights back with guns and bombs - to a war that BUSH, CHENEY, and REPUGs lied to us about and started. First their incompetance let 911 happen. Then instead of getting the terrorists in Afganistan, they lied to start a war with Iraq and ended up creating more terrorists.

REPUGS HATE us because we want to help other people. REPUGS ideas have been discredited for all time after the state of the country, economy, and the world that was left after they were refused to be given any more power from the people.

REPUGS GENERALLY seem to be petty creatures that like to dish it out but are CRYBABIES when it's their turn. THEY ARE horrible, stupid, and lazy. They use pseudo arguments to justify letting other people die when they could be helped. AND THEY have supported unConstitutional leaders like CHENEY.

Republicans (actually conservatives) don't have a "war on the poor". They do have a war on poverty though, and the primary weapon is called "work". You work and you get paid, and then you're not poor. If you are physically unable to work, there are programs to deal with that (Social Security being one). If you just don't want to work, then you've CHOSEN poverty -- it wasn't thrust upon you.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF BULLSHIT IN THE PARAGRAPH. REPUGS have caused a $1 trillion + deficit, destroyed the economy, and THEY SAY that the working poor are TOO lazy to find work.

Repugs are stupid, unpopular, hated around the word, responsible for 911 happening under their incompetant watch, the biggest deficit in history, the worst economy in histroy, starters of the longest running wars in recent history, war criminals

and yet our leadership caves into their demands, care what they think, and bend over backwards to accommodate their insane positions.

Imagine if these repug 'always-wrong' idiots actually held any power?

Recall

- The repugs stole the election in 2000 and probably in 2004. Even then, they had the slimmest of margins. Control of Congress was done to a few seats in the Senate and a small number in the House. Yet they were able to get their way in almost everything. They started several wars, changed the direction of the media, helped their friends make billions (Haliburton, Blackwater).

Now

- we have a strong majority in the Senate - 51 is the number - not 60
- we have a strong majority in the House
- we have the Presidency with high approval ratings and a President who's fantastic and highly intelligent
- we have a lot of the governerships

And Yet

- we're running scarred from the right wing and even our our turncoats who can't see how awful things were and will be under this generation's repugs.

what the fuck is wrong with us????

Recall the Bush admin
- we could not question the leader - the Dixie Chicks and countless others were threatened, lost their jobs, removed from the airways
- we were ridiculed and called unpatriotic if we suggested a different route than the repugs were taking
- people like Dan Rather lost their jobs for reporting more accurately than the becks and o'reilly's of the world
- result: many dead soldiers, many dead civilians, a demolished economy

Now that we have the power
- the repugs are back to spreading their lies publicly
- intimidating our leaders and speakers
- insulting the President, calling him names, inciting violence towards him
- Result: repugs are using tactics to destroy legislation that will help tens of millions

Why do we waste our time fighting among ourselves to give rights to repug morons who do not defend us when they are in power. The argument - well we are no better than them is bullshit. The gop wants power and our approach to silence ourselves, or get mad at lefters who are sick of the repug bullshit - will only give it back to them.

I have to wonder what else Dobb's is - dare i even say it - no i won't. I won't say 'hiding'. Because that would not be right of me to say it.

I wonder why Dobb's won't address these 'internet' rumors head on. What's he, dare i say, 'afraid' of. Is he trying to hide something? One has to wonder? I love America too much not to think these or ask questions about what could be a very, very serious issue.

Come clean Dobb's. Stop hiding from these allegations.

but BG takes this to a new level.

1. Billions of humans have been exterminated. There are less than 55,000 survivors.

2. Should they go to Earth and lead their enemy to surviving humans that too can be exterminated?

3. The relationship stories are interesting, but then again, given the calamity facing them, i would think that marital issues, and whether to stay married or not is not of the highest concern.

4. Apollo, a good warrior, decides that being a lawyer is more important. Maybe he can sue the cylons for damages.

5. Baltar - the guy responsible for billions of deaths, is too stupid, evil or selfish to get it. Why isn't he being pushed out of an airlock.

6. Is there a prison barge? are they using supplies for prisioners while other humans starve or are left behind?

7. Their discussions on how to stick to humanity while fighting the cyclons and not stooping to their level is frustrating. There are only 55,000 humans left, a fraction of what the cylons mercilessly destroyed, after which all this won't matter.

8. Why are the cylons have difficulty destroying the remnants being led by an outdated Battlestar. Three or four basestars should be able to do it, i would think. here, there may be something interesting the writers pull out of a hat. The 5 cylon unknowns mingled with the human fleet kept them alive.

btw - i think i know who the last remaining cylon unknown is and

SPOILER ALERT Possibly

and she's female

and cost the world more than any leftist idea ever did or could.

repugs and their stupid ilk should shut the fuck up and hang their heads in shame forever. They are nasty, treacherous, useless, immoral, and cowardly.

Go away assholes, your eight year experiment failed. Let the grownups get to work. Maybe we can fix the disaster you've created.

bush has destroyed the legacy of this father

1. 'this very popular President'
2. Gone are the concerns about Bush's ability to lead the nation in times of crisis
3. Gone are the questions of the legitimacy of this President in office

williams was just making shit up.

i can't stand his voice because everytime i hear it, it reminds me of this propaganda he spouted.
