So, as I was walking to my nursing class today me and a buddy of mine spotted this on the bumper of someones car. Needless to say we were busting up laughing and I had to save a pic of it. This car was parked in the Friendship neighborhood of Pittsburgh, which is right next to Bloomfield (aka where the hoax mugging happened). This totally deserves a million K & R's!!!!!

KANSAS CITY, Kansas (CNN) -- Army Spc. Jeremy Hall was raised Baptist.

Like many Christians, he said grace before dinner and read the Bible before bed. Four years ago when he was deployed to Iraq, he packed his Bible so he would feel closer to God.

He served two tours of duty in Iraq and has a near perfect record. But somewhere between the tours, something changed. Hall, now 23, said he no longer believes in God, fate, luck or anything supernatural.

Hall said he met some atheists who suggested he read the Bible again. After doing so, he said he had so many unanswered questions that he decided to become an atheist.

His sudden lack of faith, he said, cost him his military career and put his life at risk. Hall said his life was threatened by other troops and the military assigned a full-time bodyguard to protect him out of fear for his life was threatened by other troops and the military assigned a full-time bodyguard to protect him out of fear for his safety.

I disagree with the articles simplified characterization of why Hall converted to atheism as just having too many unanswered questions. That being said I also have a friend who is a former marine and an atheist, he served 2 tours in Iraq and described similar treatment.

Your candidate lost the primary, and that good for nothing weasel of an opponent to your candidate is now the nominee. What the fuck are those kool-aid drinkers thinking?! Anyway, you're really hurt. You've invested time and money in this candidate and have been a supporter of theirs for years. You knew this year they would run and win the nomination and beat the living snot out of any candidate the Republicans would throw at them.

But alas, they lost. And you are mad. You are so mad at the other candidate and their supporters!!! Fucking assholes! THEY RUINED EVERYTHING! You'll show them a thing or two though, oh buddy yes you will. You're not gonna take this sitting down. The other candidate stole the nomination from yours. They need to pay! Fuck staying home, you're voting. You're voting against that turd just like you did in the primary. COME NOVEMBER YOU'RE VOTING FOR JOHN MCCAIN!

If this sounds like you then you've come to the right place. We're going to imagine a world where you got your revenge, you and others like you voted for John McCain despite the fact that he stands against practically everything you believe in just to get back at that bastard that stole YOUR DREAM!

Aftermath of a John McCain win in November:

1. I'm not going to spout off what everyone does on this board when they react to your decision to vote for John McCain. I'm sure you heard plenty of times how he's gonna get up to 3 superduper-conservative judges on the supreme court and have Roe v. Wade overturned. The point is that would be the icing on the cake. Have a problem with your civil rights being violated? Forget that jazz because the court ain't gonna hear it.

2. Don't even worry about your rights however because with gas at 8 dollars a gallon you're not even gonna be leaving the house much. Your commute to work, if its close enough, consists of rollerblading 5 to 10 miles one way every day. You keep your car in the garage for emergencies, empty of course lest someone break in and siphon gas from it. You keep the gas in large plastic jugs in your bedroom so you know its safe and secure. Meanwhile the CEO of Exxon has commissioned the building of an exact replica of Scrooge's money bin from Duck Tales in Dubai of all places.

3. You used to own your own house but you foreclosed because you couldn't pay your mortgage and really no one gave a rats ass, so now you live in a crummy apartment complex because this slumlord doesn't do credit checks. Oh and you've decided as a lifestyle choice its better to not have a phone. No way for anyone looking for money to reach you.

4. Because of gas prices and because the value of the dollar tanked due to all the money China loaned us to pay for the Iraq war, which president McCain said would be absolutely over before the end of his second term, you shop almost exclusively at WalMart for your groceries because hey, at 5 dollars a can, corn is a steal!

5. That crazy guy you see downtown every day, the one that talks craziness to invisible people and only has brief lucid periods where he begs for change. The one with the 3 purple hearts on his beat up Red Sox cap, yeah well after his 4th tour in Iraq he just couldn't handle life anymore, but the VA said he was totally fine. Now you cross the street just to avoid him because his loud arguments with nobody make you uncomfortable.

6. Now that the draft has been reinstated president McCain is sure that the 7th surge will do the trick and the Iranians will love us and quit blowing up all those Krispie Kremes we try to give them. Oh by the way your son was drafted for the surge. This is actually great because its not like you would've been able to afford sending him to college. And besides he'll have some sort of healthcare, which less than half of us have anymore.

And you are perfectly fine with this because hey; at least you showed that no good asshole and his cult like supporters!

I wrote this as a response to another post, though it got long enough that I thought it might be worthy of being an OP since I usually write mostly one liners here and there.

Even before this primary started it was a foregone conclusion that she would be the nominee at the end of it all and most democrats were ready to align behind her. However despite her claims of being vetted and ready on day one she continuously mismanaged her campaign throughout the primaries, including having no strategy after Super Tuesday, and also committed numerous gaffes including outright lying about NAFTA and Bosnia, as well as having conflicts of interest between what she said on the trail and what her campaign staff did a la the Columbian Trade deal.

I'll be honest, I never really liked Clinton from the beginning. Mainly because I knew from the start she was more about self promotion, rather than doing anything for the country. That being said when this all began I assumed I'd be pulling the lever for her in November no matter what happened in the primary. Fortunately I now have an alternative.

I have always thought that Hillary was a very intelligent person, then again I also think Condoleezza Rice is very intelligent too, though I would never in a million years vote for her for president.

I'm honestly a little surprised at how some of her supporters are reacting to her defeat. Instead of examining where she went wrong, they spout the campaigns own talking points about sexism and unfairness. These same people were of course silent when the media was drilling us with Jeramiah Wright for weeks on end. But look, Barack Obama survived all that. Hillary Clinton has proven unable to handle a situation like that.

What did Obama do that she did not? Well when it all came out about Wright Obama engaged the public directly about Wright and about the broader issues that topic entailed through live press conferences. What did Clinton do? After alluding to RFK's assassination as a reason to continue on in a primary where she is virtually defeated she wrote an op-ed snark (worthy of GD-P I might add)about how she is right and everyone else is wrong. If you compare the two flaps and the candidates subsequent reactions you can see why Clinton is behind. If anything the reason she has remained within around 150 delegates behind is only because people keep giving her the benefit of the doubt!

I think in the end most Clinton supporters will have to come to terms with the fact that they were sold a bill of goods on Clinton and she did not deliver. You will have to face facts, Hillary Clinton was a poor and disappointing candidate which is the ONLY reason she is losing, and it is just another reason she wouldn't have made a good POTUS!
