The torture memos, the patently unfair and unconstitutional tribunal procedures, Abu Ghraid, rendition kidnappings, Patriot Act, phone surveillance, internet surveillance, bank surveillance, library surveillance, sneek and peek, the abandonment of the 4th Amendment, illegitimate electronic voting, are all designed to put fear into the public and consolidate a totalitarian regime. The message is simple: "we are above the law, and can do whatever we want."

Now they are openly advocating sedition laws and censorship. Surveillance of financial transactions will lead inevitably to financial fraud on a scale never seen before (in light of the Bushista legacy of mega fraud and war profiteering happening now, the level of crime to come is almost impossible to comprehend), covert conversion of private property, if not outright confiscation of savings and retirement plans of private citizens and other entities. The latest plan to remove the application of the bill of rights to the states through the fourteenth Amendment will be the end of a final barrier to total power, state judges who enforce the constitutional restraints on state and local police forces. The later have been the subject of a systematic integration into the central Federal police state apparatus under the guise of "Homeland Security."

Who are the targets of the terror? Well, the agenda is already laid out, persons of Islamic heritage, homosexuals, socialists, journalists, minorities, dissenters, mentally ill, retarded, and disabled persons. Sound familiar?
