... as horrific as that was, cases such as this fly under the mainstream media's radar every day of the week somewhere in America. Networks create entire programs such as "To Catch a Predator" to spotlight the prevalence of child sexual predation but somewhere in this country, while I am writing this post, some child in America is being beaten and tortured, if not killed. Who speaks for these children? Who is demanding laws requiring stiffer sentences for child abuse/torture?
This is certainly no either/or situation as ALL abusers -- both of animals and humans -- need to be flushed out like the filthy cockroaches they are. But how does Michael Vick get 18 months on a plea deal and the mother of this tortured baby gets six months and "parenting classes"?!!? Yes, the mother's boyfriend was sentenced to eight years but probably won't serve half that. And this happens day in and day out in America. So I am posting this article here because this child's case is indicative of a sickness in this nation and deserves to be more than just the local byline of the day.

The judge also sentenced Tosha Kinebrew, 19, of Millvale to six months for child endangering and obstructing justice.

An exam revealed that Tayvon suffered a fractured skull and a cigarette burn on his hand, had several broken ribs, a broken collarbone, a broken leg and torn tongue skin, records show.
Prem said Carney hurt the boy, but Kinebrew allowed it to happen and even covered for her boyfriend when she lied about who could have inflicted the injuries....
This baby is five months old.
