if the mainstream of the Democratic party was spouting the shit I've read on this board for the past week.

It's over the top. It's ridiculous. It ignores history and context and reality. And yes, it is anti-semitic.

I'm sick and tired of being accused of racism or being "anti-immigration" just because I want people to follow the law on their way into the country.

My ancestors are immigrants and native american. All were on this continent BEFORE it became the United States. I've had ancestors fight in every war/armed conflict except Vietnam and the Iraq wars. I SUPPORT immigration. But illegal immigration will kill this country.

Yes, the U.S. used to allow unlimited immigration--back when we needed people to settle and develop the continent. Times changed more than a century ago and unlimited immigration won't help us grow anymore. It will kill what's left of this country.

I'm tired of the strawman arguments that pretend that illegal immigrants (who are often paid in cash) help save social security, especially the ones that lump all immigrants (legal and illegal) together as one large group.

Immigrants are an important part of our nation's history and future.

Illegal immigrants are a security risk and a financial drain on an already strained economic and social safety net system.

The only people who benefit from illegal immigration are:

1. illegal immigrants
2. Big Business

I'm a little tired of selective law enforcement and policies designed to protect and promote Big Business. Aren't you?

Nobody above the law. That's all I'm asking.

Election reform. Election reform.

Bush was not elected either time. He has nothing to do with the American soul or conscience or apathy or anything else like that.

They cheated. It's very simple.

Election reform.

He has a lot of important prayers to answer like:

1. making sure the right team wins each basketball, football, soccer, baseball, hockey game, etc.

2. making sure that the people who pray hard enough and correctly are spared by the tornado, flood, fire, hurricane, earthquake, blizzard, etc., and that their evil neighbors are purged from the planet.

3. blessing all those meetings, and congressional assemblies praying for his guidance as they do the work they were elected/hired to do all by themselves but obviously can't manage without His assistance.

He also has a lot of important daily business of his own to tend to like:

1. adding and removing names from the Book of Life whenever somebody makes a large donation to a church or whacks off in their bathroom.

2. chasing after that wily Devil fellow who manages to elude He who knows all and sees all.

3. argue with His son/Himself about whether or not He really thinks it is such a good idea to come down here a second time given the reception He got the first time around.

4. finish that blasted self-regenerating honey-do list that Mrs. God keeps nagging Him about.

so sayeth the thinkingwoman on this 17th day of March, 2006
