Let me first say, I think know NO one can know the future in detail before it happens. I am open to the possibility of psychic phenomena, etc., but just believe it hasn't been scientifically and reproducibly shown to exist.

But that is not the point of this OP...except to point out that analyzing trends and making overall predictions based on them is a far cry from the psychic's assertion that they see everything in great detail.

Having said that I believe that, analyzing past trends and observing Bushie levels of dishonesty, mendacity, fraud, and basic contempt for the Constsituion, Bill of Rights, and Elections combined with the observation of their Massive and Powerful Political Propaganda Machine in Action...and combine all THAT with their total and 100% willingness to turn the instruments of the State into a political tool and appendage of Bushie Electoral Aspirations (i.e. keeping it close enough to steal and backfill with a Plausibly Deniable Story for the Subject Populace) means that there is a 99% chance of an October Surprise, coming in some form, maybe more than one, between now and Phony Election 2008.

I cannot predict what it/they will be, anymore than I could have predicted that the 2004 version would be the two Bush-Bin Laden video releases in late Oct. 2004, one of Bin Laden and one of the masked "American al-Qaeda".

But, as I said on this day in 2004, the only thing that is 99% certain is that an October Surprise WILL happen. Totalitarian Tyrants like the Bushies seldom "disappoint" and I strongly suspect they will not "disappoint" this time, either.

So, what do you think, DUers? Will there even be an October Surprise? And if so, take your guess as to what mendacious, fear-ramping, spine-shocking Bushie Op is going to be released upon us to get the statistcially-certain 4-8% McBush Fear Bounce (to go with the 4-8% McBush Fear Bounce generated by the Busie Georgian OP last month)?

Spin the wheel and take your guess DU! The only thing I personally am sure of is that 2008 will NOT be the same as the 2004 version. No Bush-Bin Laden Campaign Videos this time around, I think. That would be poor marketing and if the Bushies are good at any one thing that isn't directly related to criminal mendacity, it is marketing.
