I can not BELIEVE that I did that yesterday.
My second Marathon. The first was November-Richmond.
-I can not BELIEVE that I did that yesterday
-Totally under prepared from getting out of shape during the holidays to a tendon injury 3 weeks ago (tried to replace running with a bike at the gym
-6:10:00 I think I came in dead LAST in a field of 800
-an out-and-back and then out-and-back again course (no fun). on the George Washington Parkway along the Potomac-scenic yes but it was very much like running a marathon all by yourself (not many people on the course). More hills than I expected.
-I can not BELIEVE that I did that yesterday
-I felt the first (of three) blisters POP on my right foot at mile 2
-Shear will made me finish that and the support of my wife and daughter. I totally took my ability to run for 4...5...or 6 (SIX?) hours without proper training for granted.
-I can not BELIEVE that I did that yesterday
#2 FINISHED!!! This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. Only 6 hours of my life but this was harder than being in the Army (or even enlisting) or going back to school to get my degree in 2 1/2 years. Simply UNBELIEVABLE. I actually stopped about mile 14 and turned around to go back to tell my wife that I had had enough but I turned back around and eventually made it.
I can not BELIEVE that I did that yesterday.
