...label it an insult so you can continue dodging the questions...like what? my opinion? beliefs? I once knew a girl who was crazy about animals. She almost seemed to talk to animals. I witnessed her successfully coax a wild raccoon out from under a bunch of shopping carts outside a Target store. It came right up to her. She took in every stray dog or cat she saw. She would be angered by any callousness, including talk, directed at any animal. Once, making conversation, I asked her what she was making for dinner when she got home. She said lamb chops. I was surprised and asked her if she ever considered being a vegetarian. She said she never really thought about it, she grew up eating lamb chops, pork chops, burgers, etc. She considers herself an animal lover, yet her diet helps to create a demand that fuels cruelty and suffering towards animals. I find that an interesting compartmentalization of the human mind. I think we ignore that tendency of the mind at our peril, and at the peril of our evolution, and by extension, at the peril of the planet. She was a very nice person, with many good attributes, but it would not be an insult, but merely a fact, to see in her an ignorance of the facts and a pervasive hypocrisy.
