Their corporate massuhs will absolutely not permit them to ask questions that could lead to uncomfortable moments for their pet reactionary corporate suck-ups. People think it's all about ratings and share and ad rates and "quality sponsors." Nonsense. Their owners couldn't care less whether they turn a profit or bleed red ink for years. There's a lot more going on than just getting immediate cash. The intrinsic value of harnessing the greatest propaganda medium in recorded history, an...

I'm familiar with what you don't believe about "the events of 9/11"(tm). What then do you think happened? What kinds of plots and schemes and miraculous coincidences infest your heart of hearts when the mystical phrase "the events of 9/11"(tm) flit through your memory? Just a bulleted summary from mainstream sources will do, kinda like Paul Thompson's timeline, also drawn from mainstream sources and official documents. And best of all, archived video/audio feeds from a gaggle of blown away T...

...and that their phony "war on terror" is just another of their get rich quick schemes, this shit will continue and get incrementally worse and more abusive. Their fight isn't against some raggedy assed group of "Islamofascists" called Al CIA-duh -- a wholly owned subsidiary of US intelligence (if that's not too much of an oxymoron) created, funded, armed, trained and deployed to the USSR/Afghanistan border to fight another of the dozens of US-sponsored proxy wars against the USSR. They're ...

...to see whether it breaks their toes or their skulls. (Caution: Another rambling essay when I intended maybe 100 words. It's just hard to confine my hatred of for-profit medicine, and the idiots who support it, to a paragraph or two. Read at your own risk.) When I first began to understand how this extortion racket works -- who gains and who loses -- I figured that any improvements, much less dumping the whole for profit scam and setting up a proper system like civilized countries have,...

Until people hear the unspun truth, they'll continue to be oblivious as to how and why this country fell apart so quickly, how to eliminate the causes, and what alternatives are in practice all over the world that work where this system of unregulated zero-sum capitalism has failed so completely and destructively. They have no idea that the US ranks 37th in the World Health Org's study of 191 countries' health care systems. They have no idea that an estimated 22,000 people die in the US each y...

Like we're all just supposed to happily give up our laptops and wave good-bye to all our information as some power-mad asshole with a tin badge steals them and takes them somewhere for "further examination?" And this is somehow just another pain in the ass that we have to live with because if we don't, the terra-ists win? This must stop. It's already gone on far too long and the response has been grousing on Internet boards and very little else. I'm honestly out of ideas that don't require...

... to keep the domestic population from objecting to the complete takeover of their former democratic republic by the very worst pack of rabid hyenas ever to steal an American election. It's fairly clear that these people aren't simply hardline right wingers. They're fucking maniacs, and they're completely out of control. They're obvious sociopaths whose actions and motives are incomprehensible to "normal" people simply because you have to be as crazy as they are to appreciate their world vi...

The point is that these people and their former employer entered into a contractual agreement -- apparently by mutual consent, not coercion -- and one party unilaterally broke that agreement without seeking or getting the consent of the other. And despite blatantly welshing on a legally binding contract, it's very unlikely that GM will suffer any consequences at all, even though it's absolutely screwed these people to the wall. That $300 a month isn't going to go very far when these people t...

She can unilaterally decide which bills come to the floor for a vote and which ones go into the shredder. So far, she's made certain that any move to bring the hammer down on the Bushies is suppressed. And this latest transparent move to try and placate the impeachment crowd while making sure it remains off her fucking table is exactly what you'd expect from her. But she's pretty loose with other peoples' money when it comes to supporting The Commander Guy and his lust for wholesale slaught...

That's exactly what's needed; a media feeding frenzy that shows up somewhere besides C-Span and may even penetrate the thick skulls and dense cerebral cortexes of Mr. and Mrs. American Chowder Head. I guarantee you these people do not spend their days glued to C-Span and parsing every little nuance or raised eyebrow for hidden meaning. Much more likely to cheer as Jack Bauer puts another slug into the kneecap of some poor bastard who's accused of being a "terrorist" -- whatever the hell that...

This would be in keeping with US corporate mass media's commendable record of following the money and the corruption no matter where it leads? Filing serious reports that have given average Americans all the information they need to evaluate this administration's behavior? Courageous leadership by Brian Fluffhead, Katie Somepeoplesay and Chuckie Givesone and the networks' crack teams of investigative reporters, racing to scoop each other on the latest Bushean outrage, with the stories deli...

Thing is, no matter how dirty they are, they're pikers compared to the Bushies. It's like comparing muggers and smash and grab thieves to the Gambinos. If there was a single ounce of integrity and personal honor left among the whole sorry lot of them, they'd set up on the Capitol steps, hold a mea culpa news conference and admit their sins. But for each of their own screw-ups, they'd read one of Kucinich's articles and ask whether accepting a free ride on a corporate sponsor's plane is equi...

It's in "The Fountainhead." Roark (played of course by Chuck Norris) breaks his left ankle while working at the granite quarry and, because he's a part time employee, he gets no benefits so nobody calls an ambulance because they don't want to get stuck with the bill. And because nobody in the "me" society will give him a lift either, he has to crawl 23 miles through scorpion and puff adder country to try and reach an old pal who used to be a medic in WW I but who may not even be alive anymor...

Twenty-two thousand times in 2006, up from a mere 18,000 in 2000. Not huge numbers admittedly, unless we're talking about your death, or mine, or a family member or friend. If you want to have a look at how they murdered a very close friend back in Santa Cruz, Calif., you can read Kind of an unpleasant story, but it's theme that repeats at least 22,000 times a year in this shit-for-brains country. Every time they're polled on this subject, about 86 percent of respondents say they wan...

The bullshit plateau has been exceeded for years. Now all they're doing is hiring a bunch of frauds with shovels to run around and try to clean it all up before people notice that... Well gawdamm, thar seemz ta B a series amount a bullshit round here. Stinks too. The following is excerpted from pages 160 and 161 of a leaked preliminary copy of the NIST report. ... according to Mike Ruppert, DynCorp, one of the biggest, best-connected private military contractors in the world, provider of civilian spooks and technical expertise about almost any telecom and IT system in existence... these guys owned and operated the congressional telephone system for at least the first couple of years of the Bushie regency. ...suggest they "ease off the meds." Besides the fact that you're in no position to insult anybody about anything, bush league rookie that you are, you're -- um, er..., ahhh... er... that is... well... -- gee whiz, you're wrong. In fact, you're COMPLETELY FUCKING WRONG, if you need a little energy boost those all-caps phrases provide. I can't begin to count all the insults tossed his way when he was the only presidential candidate of the whole sorry lot who, upon election, would cause people to notice that something fundamental had changed in this country. Sad to say, that's still the case. Fucking immunity for telecoms and FISA this and email intercept that and bomb Pakistan because we're the fucking empire and we're so far behind the curve that we've reentered the era of the divine right of kings. It's a rare glimpse into the delusional parallel universe these elitist swine inhabit -- all wrapped up in one single fact-free non-sentence. PELOSI: Holding hearings and the oversight that we have on the corruption and contracting in Iraq, the hearings that we're holding and the harm to the readiness of our troops that the president is causing with his abstinence in this war in Iraq. First off, what the hell is she talking about? Does that even make sense? Bushie is practicing "abstinen...

I want them to act as if they're the majority party. I want them to assert themselves on behalf of everybody who doesn't happen to agree with the insane idea that privacy is an anachronism and irrelevant in the TIA society. I want to write an email commending Harry and Pelosi and the rest because they did the jobs they were elected to do instead of continuously calling or emailing them to tell them what sacks of incompetent shit they are. I actually think Pelosi has been considerably worse th...

... isn't it true that the bill only comes up for a vote if Reid allows it? In other words, is it true that all this crap about filibustering and cloture votes, even Pelosi's own FISA cave-in moment -- all that doesn't matter if he just keeps the damn thing in his back pocket? If that's true, what's his excuse? Is getting slandered by Fux Nudes a good enough reason to let the Bushies completely off the hook once again? News for Harry: They'll slander you no matter what you do, so you mi...

Well, fuck these fascist bastards three times over in every available cavity and orifice -- the more intolerable and excruciatingly painful the better. And then do it all over again for months on end. Maybe wearing hoods and forced to maintain stress positions for half a day or so. And if that's not enough, I'll be happy to surgically create a few new points of penetration for them -- absolutely free of charge. That's not really bad enough for these swine, but it'll have to do for the time b...

That places him 14th out of 100 in the senate telecom largesse and bribery sweepstakes. Dodd's $23,950 is chump change compared with what these high priced alleged democrats took them off for: Clinton ($517.6K), Obama ($315.5K), Rockefeller ($59K), Durbin ($50K), Pryor ($58K) and Baucus ($30.6K) have extorted from their employers in the telecom industry. But it's still more than 86 other senators took. So I'm unconvinced that he's going to step up and try to kill this hideous bill thro...

and just start clicking on stuff. Pretty amazing compilation of data. If you look at this stuff for awhile, it's virtually impossible to not "get it," meaning that every thing these conniving fuckers do is based on pleasing their real bosses -- corporate zillionaires, old money elites, a few nouveau billionaires needing a place to launder drug money, international banking cartels fronted by some little "John Smith's First Statewide Bank and Trust" type of nondescript single-branch mall-based ...

I think these investigations serve a couple of purposes but justice, unfortunately, isn't one of them. Mainly, they're the proverbial bread and circuses to keep the seriously pissed off among us who are screaming for impeachment and criminal charges at least temporarily pacified. We all know, or at least I think we do, that these bastards are going to skate. Americans will continue to prefer inertia to activism and will gravitate toward the sewer of "must see TV" and away from political e...

In fact, I even recognize some of the same names from various wild evenings in the dungeon arguing over the meaning of minute details in the physical, empirical, anecdotal and circumstantial evidence. One tactic they always fall back on is the stray nitpick -- actually an in-depth proofreading exercise in the search for that stray error they can use to impugn the entire argument, the bitch about it for the next seven posts, hoping that their adversary will just get bored and go away. The tac...

Well pardon fucking me. Is your middle name ad hominem, and if so, can I just call you "homie?" Here's a link to an a while back that challenges the mantra that says the Bushies are too incompetent to pull off a 9/11-class operation, which you can read or not. Doesn't make fuck all to me either way. However, it's clear from your little post that you don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about, haven't done a lick of homework on the subject or, if you have, it's been as part of a...

Yup, I'm converted. That's so revolting that the Bushies are among the rare groups who would qualify for such a program. And it needs to apply to all of them, from the lower-level serial liars up to and including Defibrillator Dick and The Commander Guy hisseff. Maybe a few right wing dictators they've helped over the years could become honorary members too. Speaking of wingers, is Margaret Thatcher still alive? Now there's a candidate for a little political readjustment if ever I sa...

That's a great list. There's something awfully compelling about the thought of The Commander Guy with a five-day growth of gray-white beard, sloppy drunk on muscatel, another pretzel gash across his cheek but, ooops, he hasn't seen a pretzel in months. Staggering into the homeless shelter and getting his ass kicked right back out as soon as he's recognized... And Cheney with nobody to polish his scalp, $400 shoes with big holes in the thin leather soles, newspaper stuffed inside in a failed e...

Guess he never heard of Bill Moyers or Amy Goodman or Greg Palast or Sy Hersch or Saul Landau or the kick-ass lala_rawraw and the rest of the Rawstory staff. Then there's Jason Leopold and Wikileaks, the whistle-blowers' site and severe pain in the ass to ideologues and institutions everywhere, even Michael Moore does a hell of an interview when he's got a mind to. Russert, on the other hand, was a corporate tool. He was a wholly owned subsidiary of GE and was paid a ridiculous salary to affl...
