The Left Column

boston bean

The social contract we all have made with one another was broken

by the people with the power and responsibility to enforce and provide justice.

I ask if laws do not apply to some then what laws apply to others.

This is a breakdown of society created by injustice. I suppose it is a natural effect.

That doesn’t make rioting and looting right. But the Original injustice is the cause of it all.

when he gets stuffed into his bunker...does anyone have to sit in there with him?

with his fast food diet and likely fear, I can just imagine him non-stop gassing noxious fumes, not to mention watching him have his twitter rage.

Do you suppose there is a great temptation to leave him in there alone, step out, lock the door and throw away the key?

We should all be very thankful Biden is our nominee

He just visited the site of George Floyd protests in Wilmington Delaware.

One thing that's apparent is that his instinct to comfort and empathize with people is truly genuine.

The complete opposite of Trump.

All the chicken littles who think this situation will hurt Dems are dead wrong.

Just my 2 cents.

Hell has FROZEN OVER!!!

My father has been a T.rump supporter from day one. Voted Rethuglican his entire life (he is 82, wealthy, retired and living comfortably in NNJ suburbs). Two weeks ago he said T.rump was brilliant, 140 IQ, handling everything well.
Lawn signs, Maga hat, etc. We go over to visit today and he announces he is DONE with T.rump, he is a fool, cannot speak over a first grade level, he lies constantly, and he is through watching FOX news as they all lie as well!! He is voting for Biden! ...

We Had A Small Rally Here Today

About 20 people, I'm thinking mostly local, stood on the parking lot of an ice cream shop. (2 blocks north of my house)
They were holding signs saying "Black Lives Matter", " In Memory of Mr. Floyd", "Justice for Floyd", etc.
Heard several cars beeping as they went by.
Some, but not all wore masks, but they were all at least 5 or 6 feet apart, but all facing forward to the street.
Not a big thing, but nice to see the young folks in town taking a strong interest.
We don't have an abusive police force problem in our town, so these " kids" aren't facing this sort of abuse daily.
But, they cared enough to be out there around 3 hours.

So if you are anti-fascist

Trump wants you to be considered a terrorist.

Let that sink in.

My father was an anti-fascist. He proved it by flying in a B-24 bomber 50 times over Nazi occupied Europe.

We need to STOP thinking how the protests will "turn" the election to Donnie Dollhands

and begin thinking and planning how Biden can win 49 States.

I've seen numerous (is that you Vlad?) posts trying to compare this to 1968 and how that "helped" Nixon.

There's several flaws with that comparison....
