Basketball legend Patrick Ewing hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus

The Georgetown University coach and New York Knicks legend warns that the virus "is serious and should not be taken lightly."

Hall of Fame basketball player and Georgetown University coach Patrick Ewing announced Friday night that he was hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus.

"I have tested positive for COVID-19," Ewing said in a statement. "This virus is serious and should not be taken lightly. I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones."

Ewing, 57, just completed his third season as head basketball coach at his alma mater. No other members of that team or staff have tested positive, Georgetown said.

2. They're Probably Really Watching BP & Heart Rate

There's a long path of blood flow in a person that long & tall.
A little of that blood thickening seen in other cases could be really problematic for a guy with a 24 inch femoral artery.

6. Patrick Ewing - I've sent up a prayer for you. You are one of my all time favorite players. From

college (Georgetown), NBA (NY Knicks), and now coaching (at Georgetown).

p.s. And I won't tell my story of going to basketball game at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angelese to see Patrick Ewing - I had never heard of the other college kid on that Olympic team named Michael Jordan - true story.
